    Hi El, IMD and Milann

Yeah I have to leave ideally at 7 latest 7.15am. I am not a morning person. Didn't get back tonight until nearly 7 - altho did get diesel on the way home and spent 10 mins in a shop, spoke to an agency and was slightly late leaving LOL

I have got popcorn boxes from Home and Bargains - cheapest 99p :money:for 4 microwaveable sachets of popcorn in a box. They often sell the premade stuff for 99p in a nice silver butterkist box too. You can buy things like that in supermarkets sometimes too! Hope that helps Milann

IMD - I didn't live on less than £30 all week as I still had cards :o- but it showed that I didn't spend on vending machines etc but kept my cash for essentials only! Have spent £28 on cushions for my lounge this week - but the others were a few years old and everyone hates them so wanted a cheap way of brightening up the room. (Will save the old ones ;) for my sister who is returning from living abroad - hopefully by xmas)

I only tend to go in the pound and bargain shops -:money: that keeps things cheaper too - sometimes it can mean I fritter spend tho:eek:! Other stuff I bought was xmas related.... Some of my family are using my shopping services to buy their present to my kids so that is working out well too LOL!

I've just had a statement from capital one and they have tripled the interest rate! Going to try and get OH to sort it today!

Ouch about the interest rate, really hope you manage to get that one sorted. Martin was on GMTV this morning about rate jacking, you can refuse the new interest rate but also means you can't use the card anymore

I'm another flashforward fan (DH calls it fast forward!! muppet lol) I tend to watch it on a Sunday night after the new Knight Rider while doing the ironing :) I love it, so weird :) Is Dylans dad something to do with the FF?

Good luck with the bingo site xx

Not good about the interest rate. Virgin did a similar thing to me a while ago but luckily I have cleared that bit and the other bit is at 0%

Glad work is going well for you :)

    Hi CMD and Bevan

Yeah Dylan's dad is partly responsible for causing the flash forward or that is how the phonecall with Simon seemed to go - whoever simon is.

I really hope they sort the rate out - it was supposed to be a life of balance rate at 3.45% and we have £4-5K on there so not pleased. They now want to charge 10.9% which is ridiculous!

Well I did a bit more to set up on my contract today so hoping that gets sorted okay. Potentially will get payment for 4 weeks around end Nov and then another payment for 4 weeks around xmas and then should get 5 weeks in Jan!

I feel in a really funny mood today... don't really know why. I am taking nurofen tho to keep my cold/sore throat at bay so it could just be related to that!

    Anyway bye for now!

    Hi SH,

I love Flash-forward, although think I might be one episode behind, cos I tape it then watch and have so much other progs to watch also. Bad news on the rate increase, usually if you call they will put it back down, it happened to me with a LOB rate I had. The plan is to never pay off the card completely.
  • Thank you so much about interest post just remembered to stop mine with virgin no way should they hold us to ransom and say you pay this or lose your account!!x

Safely home - dinner in the microwave!

Capital one are saying they wrote to us in july - don't remember seeing anything and that we had until August to refuse the rate increase. They are refusing to do anything about it now!!!! They have said feel free to leave! OH has tried applying for a card at 2.98% balance transfer and 0% for year. Just hope we get it! If not may have to wait until Virgin offer us another deal!

I think FF is great. I got my OH to sit and watch it with me once - but he wasn't able to "suspend his disbelief" and just pulled it apart!

I am fizzing re cap one - can't see what else we can do tho as I don't get paid from my new job until end nov at the earliest! I don't want to use my remaining savings if I can help it really as I want a back up in case the payment doesn't go thro in time!
