            Thanks El
Hi guys well I have been to sign on and off today. The good news is that yesterday's work doesn't count against my JSA :j:j:jas it was only 3 hours and won't be paid for a month or so! So all money made yesterday is extra which is brill!
I snook in a coffee at costa coffee which was yum as I probably won't be going once I am working! I also bought grazia magazine £1.95 to get the 25% off wallis  and hope to go and buy some work trousers tomorrow. They are one of the few shops that actually fit properly at the back for my shape! What I've read so far was quite enjoyable too - first time I have ever bought the mag as I don't generally go for celeb gossip!:D as I probably won't be going once I am working! I also made a little trip to home and bargains and got cheap sugar, toilet cleaner, sweet chilli sauce and rice pudding plus more xmas bits. (Yes I know I am a little xmas obsessed but there we go). They were selling cardboard bottle holders for 59p instead of the usual £1.99 so I got 3 of those!! I also bought some water bottles at 19p each for a car journey Saturday!
I looked in M&S for some trousers as I have a credit voucher but they all fit badly so going to commit to going to wallis in the morning.
MIL is coming for tea today so thinking of doing sweet chilli chicken with pasta. I think she and the kids will like that. Unfortunately that does mean that when I get back from the hair appointment I've sneaked in next - and after I've got the kids - we need to do a mad tidy up for her! DS is in a school play tonight hence the visit.
Catch you all later - hope you have a good day!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

stir fried Sweet chilli chicken - I cheated - and used
a 59p sweet chilli dipping sauce (not its intended use)from home and bargains
454g chicken breast fillets - which I chopped up
 half an onion
 handful frozen mushrooms
 handful frozen mixed peppers
 tin of smartprice sweetcorn
 handful of pasta per person
 Even my MIL had seconds!
DS did well at school and MIL enjoyed her visit I think
Also - overpaid on the water bill - they owe us money so our bill is dropping from £62 to less than £17 - so pleased about that! It will go up to about £30 this time next year - but good for now!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

            Hi CMD and Jen
Not excited re Monday - still almost dreading it. It did help to go in on Wednesday tho as they all seemed more professional than I expected. The thing is I was absolutely shattered on Wednesday night despite not working a full day so I am sure by the time I get home monday I will be almost comatose tired!
We have a really busy weekend too which was planned before I knew I had a job. This job if I got was originally due to start a week or two later! Oh well.....
Just had breakfast, and am vaguely awake. Need to push myself to get out the house and look for some trousers. Ideally then come back and do some more work on the house etc or find clothes for the weekend.....
My DS split his trousers at school yesterday so ideally I need to buy him a new pair as sewing things up is not my strong point! I might see if a friend of mine will machine sew them for me at some point - don't think my sewing would be strong enough lol!
My house is still fairly tidy - downstairs at least which is a novel experience!
Hope everyone has a good day. Not due to get paid now until end Nov slight eek eek...Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Wow - do you ever stop to breathe? Brilliant news on job front(s), it's like the old bus saying, you wait for ages and then three come along!!
Understand the work/life balance - it's a tricky one. I saw a job for more money than I'm on now and debts would be cleared quicker, but my children and relationship with Husband would suffer. I work full time but on flexible terms. I want to be a hands on mum and have a career, and the job I have now gives me the chance to do both, goes to show that money isn't in fact everything!
 Liking the chicken recipe, may just try it!1st debt - Next [STRIKE]£583.32[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£408.71 [/STRIKE] £0 :j

Hi Karen and IMD - glad you liked the chicken recipe. It was another one of those meals for 5 in practice for under a fiver!
Well I went to Matalan and Wallis. I completely confuzzled the sales assistant - as they had an offer which was buy a giftcard for £30 and get a £5 voucher free. So I said I would like to do that please. I then used it to buy my 25% off trousers - she had to check with the manager if she could do it and was shaking as she served me LOL. So I have a nice pair of trousers - would have bought 2 if they had them and still have £7.50 left on my gift card plus a £5 voucher to use before the end of Feb 2010. I am hoping that I shrink a size and that next time I can use the voucher and giftcard towards some trousers in a smaller pair!
At Matalan - I got new socks for the boys of the house - I don't know what they do with them but I am sick of DS raiding mine! I bought DD a twirly long skirt for £9 - she doesn't really wear jeans and things she is a very girly girl - so I think she will love it - especially as it came with a belt which has crystals on it!
 For me I got:
 trousers for £14,
a dress top for £2.50 in the sale,
a purple jumper for £14 (ticket said £18 so chuffed with that!),
 a green top for £6,
a teal top for £8 and a kind of long sleaved long cover up thing in teal for £12 which together are very slimming.
The purple jumper should go with all the green/teal things I bought so was pleased with that. Trying to have a bit less reliance on heating this year. I have lost nearly a stone - and altho I haven't gone down a dress size on my bottom half - I probably have on my top half as I was 18/20 before and these are all 18s and fitted nicely. I was really really pleased.
My OH and I had a lunch date too - so IMD you will be glad to know I breathed there LOL!
I haven't done most of my list of things for this week but c'est la vie! (that's life)
I am helping set up and assist at a youth event tonight - hope it goes well....
Not sure what we have in for tea.... ? I now need to get the kids from school tho so I suppose I had better trundle off!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
