Have a good week everyone if I don't manage to catch up while away! Back next Saturday - that is the plan anyway!

Had a nice week away. Spent too much probably but accommodation was free so don't feel to guilty. Weather was very mixed. Managed to get my hair, OH and DS's hair done while we were away so hopefully we will all look good for the wedding. DD's hair is long and already looks fine....

I spoke to a different agency Thursday about my experience in the temp job - and he saw it as completely the company's fault not mine so that was reassuring... It won't influence them against me. All being well am at final stage for perm job middle of next week! Really, really hope I get that one! I've been paid up for that other job altho I think they must have done emergency tax as I didn't get much! Hopefully I will get a refund at some point!

Hope everyone has been doing okay.

thanks for the welcome back !

Still toying with whether to write an 0% cheque to myself (3% charge for 6 months) but would mean that we would be "ok" for a bit longer even if I don't get the job...

Still under pressure to go to sis's wedding abroad which I probably will do but probably alone and even alone it will cost between £600 and £1K! I could do without that cost right now I can tell you.... Don't really want to go alone but can't afford to take the rest of the family and none of them have valid passports at the mo anyway! she has almost set the date.... LOL

Trying to live up to no 1 son's (my oh so perfect brother's) reputation!
    I'm not convinced it's quite so shiny, I shouldn't worry :)
The manager had said to the agency and to me "another role, another place, another time - she would be perfect just not for here with the sensitivities they have at the moment".
Concentrate on this when/if you start on a downer/beating yourself up. It was so not your fault. :)

Shouldn't worry about it...doesn't sound like she's expecting it. And unlikely to be coming to the UK for the [STRIKE]really important [/STRIKE]wedding ;)

Welcome home. :cool2: Hopefully the break had the desired effect and you're chilled, relaxed, refocused and ready to get back into the swing of things again.:)

She is also looking to get married within weeks of my other sis which is causing issues - and is also selfish as my other sis booked the date a year ago and will be barely back from honeymoon before being expected to rush off to another country with passports they don't have, with money they have not got and with time off for her new hubby that he will struggle to get so soon after his honeymoon  To crown it all she missed her off the email telling us all about it :rotfl::eek:
    Nicely summarised there! :rotfl:
May delete all references to this off my posts soon in case she or her friends find this....
    :rotfl:some more! ;)
