Evening All, Just back from town . . . Just caught up on all the posts I've missed.

Terri - hotel was wonderful, turned out to be the Hyatt Regency Churchill round the back of Selfridges, V swish & stupidly comfortable bed . . . . Party was cancelled due to both the birthday boy & his brother being felled by the same vile stomach bug . . . Still had a great time . . .

I may of been out on the booze . . . too much beer last night & some vino tonight but still I PAD - LOL

    .

Sorry to hear that the party was cancelled ...
    Blo*dy hell i just " googled " the hotel ( 'cos i'm a nosy s*d ! ) .... Oooooooooooooh it looks great .... http://london.churchill.hyatt.com/hyatt/hotels/gallery/virtual-tour.jsp?icamp=propVirtualTour the lobby looks massive .... or is it all mirrors ?

The rooms look very swish as well .... bet that wished that you could have stayed longer ...

The mystery hotel thing is so cool, wouldn't chance it with anything less than 4 stars as you could end up in a flea pit but it's seen me right on a number of occassions usually for £40 - £50 each which isn't bad in my book . . . You don't find out where you are staying until the confirmation e-mail .We've stayed everywhere from various high end independents to the Waldorf Astoria by doing it & all on the cheap . . . Next time I go abroad I'm going to go for a mystery hotel as it's been great.

The lobby was indeed HUGE, lots & lots of period portraits of admirals of the fleet, ladies of leisure & statues of Winston all over the place & a doorman in a top hat - you know it's posh when he has a top hat !!!!!!

I would of been more than happy to stay another night, other half lives in deepest darkest Surrey and the last train leaves at like 10pm, 9pm of a Sunday !!!! so if we want a proper night out we have to book some room at any inn my canny searching can find. . .

£2 PAD for me today - can't wait till payday!!
  • Morning all . . .

Yes you can check out the star rating before you book, there is a little description of the place - sometimes enough to give a clue as to where it actually is and it tells you it's rating . . .

Well, doing better than I thought this far from pay day so it's another £5.00 to EGG . . .

Today is statement day with the swines so I shall see where I stand with them, how much interest will they hit me with ?

Be back later on to catch up with posts & hopefully chuck some stuff in my change tins.

    :hello: Hey everyone!

I could just stay in bed! Totally shattered but I'm off *again* on Friday so just counting down... :D Everyone doing OK and had a good weekend? Sorry to read if anyone's feeling a bit yuck at the moment - we all have those kind of days but we're still here busting our debts!

A few biggies out on DD today:

    HFC loan - £137.91
    smEgg loan - £251.66
    sMint CC - £42
    Barclaycard CC - £1

    :j Total PAD = £432.57 :j

Aiming to get the Barclaycard busted for next month but we shall see - might be being a wee bit too optimistic there! :rotfl:

    Have a lovely day everyone!
    xx
