It would have been lovely to go away on holiday, we have not done so for years. But i am so determined to get rid of this debt once and for all. We are having few treats and i am throwing everything i am earning at the debt.

I'm hoping its short term pain for the very long term gain. Days like today make me feel low though. I know i am lucky and have a job that gives me a relatively good income, but the stress that goes with it is sometimes overwhelming and today I am feeling like my head is going to explode. I have tons of work to do for tomorrow but i feel sick at the thought of just picking it up and getting on with it.

Does anyone know what i mean?

I want to sit in a corner and have a cry or just run away. I can't really do either, too many people rely on me.

Hopefully i will feel more positive later. I feel rubbish at the mo.

Sorry everyone for sounding so negative. Its not usually like me. :o

  • Hi Lemma,

Big virtual hug to you xx

You're doing a fantastic job of busting those debts and I'm sure many people wouldn't have been as strong as you in their approach. All your hard work will be worth it - promise.

Grab yourself a cup of tea and take a deep breath - I've been there with the too much work and want to just go to sleep and forget about it. Sometime sitting and having a cry does actually help as well.

Hope you feel a bit better soon hun

Lemma - sorry to hear your having a rubbish day. I think we all have days where we feel like that, i know i certainly do!

I know what you mean about throwing all money at debts, but just remember everyone deserves a few treats every now and then. Maybe not as extravagent as a holiday but a day out etc...

I know alot of people will frown upon things like taking holidays while in debt but for me personally it is so worth it just to get away from it all for a couple of weeks.

I hope you feel better soon

ETA: also just look at how debt busting you have done!! You should feel so proud of yourself. Puts me to shame with the low amount of debt i have!

You sound like you have a " very heavy workload " and your job sounds pretty stressful , so it's not really surprising that you are feeling like this .....

Could you not just have a hour of total lazyness sprawled on the settee watching garbage on the box and then think about getting organised for work ...

Here's a couple of items for you to help put the smile back onto your face " a virtual " CHOCCY ! bombonespg0.gif .... Ooooooooooh a glass of wine 120103_emA55_prv1.gif .... or failing them ....... my faithfully " cheer up smilie ! "

Thanks everyone for your support. I think i am just feeling a bit overwhelmed with stress at the moment. My chest keeps feeling a bit tighter and i know its the stress causing a panic attack type of effect. Deep breathing is helping but i am sure that i am feeling like this cos i know i am going to have a really sh*tty day tomorrow and the anticipation is taking over.

I will be fine, i will be fine, i will be fine... :o

I am sure this time tomorrow night i will feel a bit better, but i will be in a hotel in Sheffield (oh the glamour) and not at home so that may make me a little cranky!

This time next week i will definitely feel better cos i am taking a week off for half term.

    Roll on Friday!

Hello all. Eurovision party was hilarious. I took a kebab with me for my Turkey theme. They did really well - lots of 10's - so I had to drink plenty of shots! The poor girl who had Norway in the sweep was battered....

Lemma - your progress is amazing! Hope you feel back to best soon.

£10 PAD for me. Enjoy the rest of the weekend all !
