  • Hi all,

Long time lurker here but thought I'd take the plunge today and join you all if I may?

You seem a friendly bunch and the support you give each other is amazing.

I'm hoping there will be no objections to me joining so I have taken the liberty of making my first PAD - went through my accounts and had a good rounding session to start me off:

Thanks for the advice Jellie!! I am not sure freezing it is necessary, although it would definately make me think twice!! Just found 24p :T

Yeah- finding change is always a good emergency tip!!
I've been tempted to try freezing my card at my lowest points but tend to either wimp out or get the scissors out depending on my mood! It's a tip I've heard about but don't know anyone who has used it. I find keeping it at home helps but I still have to fight temptation to overspend if shopping online.

Hi PurpleJellyFish! Welcome to PAD addiction ;)

Hi Purplejellyfish.... I'm fairly new here too and I can vouch for Jellie in relation to how addictive this can be.

My PaD today is 32p again to CrapitalOne. I have transfered £35 across from my paypal account today for some computer games that I sold so once that shows in the account that will be coming off the cap1 card also.
Still awaiting my £70 to be released for the dvds I sold. Paypal wont release the money for 21 days and in this time the buyer cant have made a claim against me or until positive feedback has been received.
The lady won't leave feedback until all 28 dvds have been watched and found to be in a good order. I'm not hoping for any feedback anytime soon.
Hope everyone had a nice day in the sun today.

evening all! big hello to our newbies & great news, sarah, that your brother is improving :j

thanks for the lovely birthday wishes, i've had a good day but shattered now! had some lovely pressies & a nice chocolate cake from DH & kids.

spent the day clearing out the garage and loft above (oh the glamour!) ready for our building work to start just after the bank hol. did loads of washing while the sun was still shining, as my tumble dryer now out of action until all the building is finished. it is going to be a "feature" in the corner of the lounge for a few weeks...

i have been very remiss posting my PADs this week, so just to bring me up to date:

    1.24 + 1.25 + 1.26 + 0.36 (my new age in pence!) = ***4.11***

today was also a no spend day :D i got bit of birthday money, but i think i am going to spend most of it tomorrow on a charm for my new bracelet. then i'll be back on the straight and narrow for the forseeable future

all for now. hope everyone has a great week ahead xxxx

Welcome newbies and oldies alike (sorry, my short-term memory is rubbish!! :o )

So, I finally weighed myself (late as usual!) and I am a little shocked! I am, 5'5" weighing in at 11st 10lb:eek: That is the heviest I have ever been except when pg :o
I won't post what I have eaten over the last few days, I'll start doing that on Thurs for the first weigh-in.... needless to say I've been eating junk :o
I am definately hoping to be shamed into healthy eating.... plus I am starting jogging (again!) so that should help

    a very annoyed Sx
