    Hi Shopgirl

I only started 3 days ago and decided (as part of my budgeting that i would allow myself £2 to spend each day - if I had any left then I would put it in my PaD jar and - at the end of each month- walk down and pay the cash in as an extra cc payment.

Three days in I find that I am resenting the idea of spending and nt being able to "feed" my jar. I am sure that this new enthusiasm will fade but I am loving the idae that this is spare money (ie money that i would have sworn I could not find at the end of each month yet by doing it gradually it is relatively painless.

Go on - have a go and watch those pennies grow.

Hi all! Hope you are enjoying the fabulous Bamk Holiday weather.

I'm hoping to take part in the PAD challenge, however, I was wondering how it worked...I have the basics (a payment a day!), but how do you decide how much money you are going to pay? Do you make the payments from money saved on shopping, or if you get something free do you pay the money you would have spent on the free item (IYSWIM)? Hope my question made sense...sorry if I'm being a bit thick!

    Thanks!

Welcome to the madhouse ! Good luck with your payment a day , either small or large it's surprising how quickly it all adds up .

Everybody has their own way of doing this , some save loose change , some round their bank accounts up or down , some use their Ebay money , or anything else they can think of !

Some people include their minimum credit card payments, others don't , basically it's whatever is the easiest for you .

Alot of us on here use internet banking and do our PAD ( payment a day ) online , others save money in a jar then every so often pay it off their debts ...

Everybody is very friendly on here , which really helps to keep you motivated ....

    Welcome to the madhouse !

Hi Terri! Thanks for the very warm welcome and the helpful advice. :A
Everyone on here seems to be very lovely!

Hopefully, all of your fabulous advice will spur me on to great things (or at least a little let CC debt!). I think I'll mainly be adding up money every week, but I'm going to try to pay off some pennies by internet banking.

    Wish me luck!:D
