Thank you for the lovely welcome messages and advice re PADs!
my PAD today is 3.00. I have my partner's 30th and baby's 1st birthday later on in the year so have decided to start money jars now for them (I think I am being too ambitious with all my things to save for but oh well).
I'm the same, I have 3 jars, one which is my sealed jar challenge (for xmas), one for my holiday and one for my Home learning college loans (they've offered me a 20% settlement) so once I've paded Cap 1 and Next I'll be pading to my savings acc for them.
You'll be surprised just how much it all adds up and how much it makes you aware of all the silly spending if you do any (I do and after having a really bad couple of days have learnt it's baby steps for me).
Just do it at your own pace and you'll be fine.

Hello, just to say I have made a payment for the rest of the month of £20 as I'm gonna be busy for the next few days/weeks... I don't think £520 is a bad total for a months padding!
In keeping with the interesting facts occasionally posted on here: I have just been faffing about on the net and discovered this little nugget of interestingness: It is illegal under British Animal Cruelty legislation to perform surgery or medical procedures on an octopus without adminstering an anaestetic (sp). Because they are so intelligent apparently.
So there you go
