Very busy thanks Terri. Work has been quite knackering hence less time online. I've been posting the PADs but not much else. Also, when I've been on the computer, I've been doing some more genealogical exploration. I finally found my paternal grandmother's birth record. I heard that she was found abandoned on Mary St Chadwell station in Essex nearly 100 years ago. That is why she had the name Mary Chadwell. I last met her when I was 18. I managed to find the record and sure enough, her mother's name was blank. So I am unable to go back any further than that on that line of the family. Therefore, I am focussing more on the maternal side of the family. It's amazing how when you dip into genealogical history, it evokes all kinds of feelings and it can actually pose more questions than it answers0 -
Luckily OH had his sensible head on when we got the letter and i had my stupid head on!! I went to grab the credit card to pay it off, where as OH worked out what we can afford and will be ringing them tomorrow to negotiate. So fingers crossed! Will update tomorrow with new payments that need to be made, feeling a lot better about things now!
Hi Flower ....
Sorry but i forgot to ask you earlier how hubby got on today ..... Did he get a chance to ring Housing benefit re: your overpayment ?

Hi everyone
PAD OF £29.05 today to DH Cap One. Sorry have been a bit of a stranger lately. Looking after pennies for our hols next month so taking stock on a weekly basis rather than daily iyswim!Have been called to a meeting at work today by the Chief Executive - rumours abound it is to announce voluntary redundancies:eek: so will keep you posted. Cant see them paying any big sums of money out or i could be tempted.
Have a nice Friday all - will catch up with posts etc later. xPayment A Day £15 (started 17/5/14) :j0 -
Morning all
Have made the "wrong" PAD today - £3.21 to Egg. Think I got the wrong day, but hey-ho it's only a penny.
Paulgonnabedebtfree - that's interesting stuff. I don't think I'd have the patience to do all that work tracing my family, altho I think my brother has done some investigating with varied success. It must be very satisfying for you!
See you all later.
