I agree with you all, I have lost 3 stone and still some people haven't noticed, family have and a few of the females at work have, but what others have noticed is how often I am going to the gym, on the last week of term I got ready after work and the Head of PE was in my office when I came back to grab my stuff, he said "Wow, you've been going to the gym a lot, well done!" to which I replied "Well I knew once I hit 2 stone loss that it would slow down so I picked up my exercise, and now I have lost 3 stone" he then said "Blimey, I would never have guessed you've lost 3 stone!!" I thought cheeky git, he's basically saying I'm still fat!! Ho hum, by xmas (when I hope to be at goal) hopefully everyone will have noticed, if not I am going to get a t-shirt printed with a before and after pic on it!!!
Keep going, hopefully people are noticing but are too polite to say anything in case the response is "Are you saying I was fat?!"I believe that I have the strength to make my dreams come true:T September Challenge £5 per day - £0/£150 :T0 -
Cat, you made me chuckle.
Have you ever read Men are from Mars women are from Venus? Most times us chaps aren't thinking at all and we just don't notice....or, its not worth the potential agro of saying anything so we have learned not to bother:rotfl:
PeteOh, trust me, they have noticed!!
But people are often wary of commenting about weight. You know, if they say something and you aren't trying to lose, they feel awkward and like they have maybe offended you and so it's often easier not to bring up the subject. Even with your OH, it's tricky. If he is too enthusiastic about the weight loss it could make you think he was unhappy with you before and hurt you
Keep going, you are doing fantastically. Besides you are doing this for you.

) I have had a terrible day, my mother and sister have both been really unkind to me and i have been really upset. But normally when things like that happen i dive in the crisps, chocolate and any other rubbish i can lay my hands on - but today i didn't :j I am slowly realising that my mothers constant little comments of disapproval are in part connected to my weight and i have the power to rise above it. That is one of the reasons why this time i feel so positive about the weight loss. I have stuck 100% to the plan and will not let negative people bring me down!
(just like a little Jeremy Kyle session that was :rotfl:)
Well good for you. With a positive attitude like you're displaying here, you'll be at target in no time. Don't let the b****s grind you down :TI let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
Call me a pessimist, but i'm beginning to think that SW created the EE plan to make me lose weight slowly so i will pay them for longer LOL! Seriously though I've lost 3lbs in 3 weeks, which is a bit disappointing because When i started SW the first time around i was 2.5stone lighter than I am now and lost 4lbs on my first week doing the Green plan, and then 2-2.5lbs a week thereafter! So frustrated! Gonna try doing the the green plan now to see if that helps!0

thank you all, it was just what I needed to hear :kisses3:
I still wish that someone else would recognise the effort I'm putting in dealing with my weight problem - it doesn't help that DH is quite happy to sit eating chocolate and white bread toast in front of me when he knows they are my weaknesses
I am doing this for me and I will reach a healthy weight for my height. I *know* I can do it this time! Just going to keep working towards my awards for the front of my book and to my clothes size dropping!Mum of 7 (aged 14y to 1y)
loving SW - 5st off and counting! :j0 -

thank you Consultant31 - who needs therapy when you have MSE :money:
I went to a dinner and dance last night and resisted temptation all the way. Stuck to diet coke, even though there was white wine on the table. Passed on bread rolls, had prawn and advocado starter, then it was a set main of chicken and other bits and just had a little of what i fancied but not too much. Then out came the cheesecake  I slowly ate the strawberries which were on the side of the plate and then told my OH to eat his up quickly so he could eat mine before temptation got the better of me. Poor bloke he's gonna end up as big as anything at this rate :rotfl:
Have a good sunday everyone0 -
Sad though when we gotta live life like this, resisting & saying no all the time0

What I wanna know is - if rhubarb and rice are free why is a rhubarb
muller rice 11 1/2 syns?0 -
Just in case any of you didn't know and were planning on freezing Mullers, it doesn't work well. The texture after is a bit like semolina, if anyone remembers that.....
So, I now have around 24 pots of flavoured semolina to get through this week

I didn't like the frozen shape yogurts, I was expecting it to taste like ice-cream and was sorely disappointed to find it tasted like yogurt still!!
To Tiamaria - I don't think its sad to live 'like this' I don't resist temptation all the time as I was/am a compulsive binge eater, so I know if I resist too much I will cave in and end up binging for a week, so when I have been out or have fancied a tasty pudding I have it, but the difference is I now savour those treats instead of inhaling it in 10 seconds then wanting 10 times more, the other week I had a chocolate pudding that for a small piece (well compared to what I used to have) was 18.5 syns, it was totally and utterly worth it!!!
A little of what you fancy does you good, and for me its working, I am much more in control of my eating than I have been since I was 15 and to me thats much more important than how quickly my weight comes off, I would rather continue to have my treats (just not as often as before) and lose weight slower as I know if I continue like this I will maintain it for life, if I had to constantly say no to things I really really fancied I would have given up months ago!!I believe that I have the strength to make my dreams come true:T September Challenge £5 per day - £0/£150 :T0
