Perhaps i'll try making my own with sweetener and no sugar or fat;)

Bought rhubarb (reduced) from waitrose last week for 35p. (3 packs)
Cooked it with sweetener and froze excess. Rest mixed with cooked rice and vanilla muller which, with a bit of imaginaton, tastes like rhubarb & custard. You can freze the rice as well so a instant dessert fix any green or xeasy day.

Basic/Non Branded Foods Rhubarb, stewed without sugar 198g

red.gif Original ½ Syn green.gif Green ½ Syn

Admittedly not very many but it depends how close you get to using your syns every week.

Good afternoon, back after my weekend away which was lovely.

The food we ate was all delicious and very healthy (lentil soups, ratatouille, salads, WM bread, chicken, lots of fruit) but cooked in the main with oil. So I really don't know about syns and stuff, but I felt I ate small controlled portions and savoured the food and didn't take butter or the chicken skin etc. But we did drink some wine (not too much though). So the scales will tell the truth tomorrow morning.

today I am doing red:
B: Fruit salad and yoghurt
L: salad with smoked salmon and prawns and mango (dressing 4 syns)
D: Chicken and pepper fajitas using lettuce instead of flour tortillas (1 syn for spice mix), Fruit salad for dessert.

Snacks are fruit, yogurt.

I might make chocolate cornflakes cakes for the children and pinch one if I can work out the syns!

pete, weldone on the 34' trousers - bet you look great .
tiamaria, I can understand why you get disheartened if you don't lose for such a long time - are you able to step up your physical activity at all?

You are not wrong Cuffey. I couldn't figure out why my trousers legs have started to hit the ground and get torn like a teenager's and then I realised that there was less thigh taking up the slack. So I headed for my designer outlet this afternoon to get a new tailor made pair. £6 from Asda, sorted and now into 34s...woohoo!

That happens with skirts too when your hips aren't shortening them up your thighs so much!!!

Hi everyone, can I join in please?

I'm about to go to my first meeting in an hour and I'm so so nervous. I work away from home during the week and so am going on my own and I hate the thought of walking into a room full of people I don't know, I feel self-conscious already!

I have over half my body weight to lose so that feels pretty daunting as well but I need to do this so badly, I'm fed up of feeling like I've run a marathon when I've only walked down the road. I went to SW years ago and had not a bad loss but it's gone back on plus loads!

Anyway, just reading the posts on this forum has given me the kick start I need to get me through the door. I've shopped already in anticipation and will be popping into Sainsburys after to pick up some free yummies once I get the books.

So a big thanks to all of you for getting me this far! Wish me luck! :D

Mandy
