  • HEA - Healthy Extra A (milk, cheese)
HEB - Healthy Extra B (bread, cereals, crispbreads etc meat/fish if on a green day, potatoes/pasta if on a red day)
EE - Extra Easy - the newest plan, if its free on green or red its free on Extra Easy, you only have 1 HEA and 1 HEB, and you count the lowest value syns, so if something is 6 syns on green but 3 syns on red, you count it as 3 syns.

    Hope that helps a little!!

Good luck on your journey, I never thought I could do it but its coming off steadily....YAY!!

thanks, i havent heard of extra easy, doesnt sound 'easy' to be honest, i think i will stick to straightforward green and red, as i recall when i last did it, for my weight my syns were about 20 a day, but ive got a feeling i used to try to stick to about 10 (if possible)

Hi everyone. I've been avoiding this thread because I lost the plot!
After over a year on the plan I stopped losing and foolishly thought that I could eat like I used to (although that was always healthy), but it seems i can't :(
At WI tonight, didn't go last week, away for Easter, I'd put on 5lbs.
I have so lost the will to diet.
Does anyone have any tips to motivate me before I go all the way down that slippery slope please?

Well the scales still aren't going down - WI tomorrow but had a peep and they seem to be the same, I'm not going to give in though!

Today was the last day of easter hols for kids, went for lunch out but was determined to stay good!

    B: 2 weetabix (HEA) Tea (1 sugar = 1 syn)
L: Huge Chicken Salad & Jacket potatoes (salad did have appox 1 tbsp of coleslaw and potato salad - letf the pot salad though!)
    S: lots of grapes!
    D: Batchelors Savoury Rice
    S: Muller (after the gym!)

I desperatley need some help though, I am going to Brussels with work next week and I'm working on an exhibition stand so eating healthy is so not going to be easy! I'm flying too so not easy to take much with me in the way of fresh stuff so need tips on what I can pack to avoid giving in to too much temptation! I will have a kettle and a microwave on the stand (it's a food exhibition) but cooking won't be easy, won't have time! Determined not to give in to fattening sandwiches though! HELP!!!!!

  • No tips but I'm with you LilacLil
  • Well I had WI tonight & am very hppy with a 2 pound loss, especially after losing 3 last week & not being well at the beginning of the week (migraine).

Takes me to a total of 13 pounds in 7 weeks so im really going to try for my 1 pound this week hopefully star week won't stop that from happening!!

Has anyone else heard of magic porridge?
Mix 28g of porridge oats with a muller light & fruit (optional) in a bowl & put in the fridge overnight. Apparently its lovely & filling, I'll let you know in the moning how it turned out!!

Hey Lillie, think of it like you have been on holiday. It was good fun and now you are back at work. The only thing to do is to make work more interesting. The good news is that you are the boss!

One of you, I think it was Angie started up theme of the week. I thought this was a good motivator and I did join in with a curry. :D

    Well done princess Kate.

I did my WI today and have lost 1.5 llb which I am very pleased about. I followed the plan well enough in the week and feel really good - just the weekends to tackle now.

LL, it is tough to get back to it, isn't it. How about choosing something that you would like to treat yourself to and fixing this as a 'prize' for losing a certain amount or perhaps losing for three weeks in a row etc.?

BJB1 - I too work away a lot and its really difficult with food. I've tried in the past taking low fat supernoodles in a pot (I think the chicken ones are free on green) Alpen light bars (2 are a B choice), fruit, babybels (travel well due to wrapper thingy), lots of diet pop and eating a biggish breakfast at the hotel using mostly free stuff.
Try doing more green days as its easier to fill up on pasta and rice than having a smallish portion of meat and soggy veg!

Its very hard though - I'm away Sunday - Tues this week and all I ever hope for is a STS rather than a loss - a loss is then a bonus if I manage it!
