I am determined to be a good girl!!!! Have been extra strict the last few days as I am going out for diner at a friends house tonight and they always feed the 5000!
B: Fresh fruit Salad & Muller
S: Tea (1 syn) & Mulller
L: Just had a mushroom omlette with 20g cheese (HEA but i spared the last few grams to allow for the milk I have in my tea - do you think I am ok doing this?)
Friend has said they are cooking curry so was planning on filling plate with rice and just a few tbsp's of curry and giving the rest a miss (even the desert! which is an acheivement if I manage it as they own a bakers & a restaurant and are fab cooks!) Alcohol - now there is an issue, I rareely drink but when I do I make up for it, I can easily do 2 bottles of wine (tut tut) and live to tell the tale! - dh nearly passed out when I said I was thinking of driving to avoid drinking!!!!

Hi Sad Dog Lady -
Pleeeeeeease resist weighing yourself daily. Once a week is plenty! You may find that you have a natural up-and-down cycle, and you would be terribly dissapointed if you carried on being 100% but 'only' lost 3lb by the end of the week having appeared to have lost more earlier in the week.
Once a week - same time - similar clothes...
But, first week losses could be anything from a stay the same (I know of a few who have had small gains) to maybe 7+lb off. A lot depends on how much you have to lose, and the type of diet you were eating beofre you started before joining SW.
Trust the plan - if you are following 100%, you will lose weight, although often the first few weeks will give the most dramatic losses, settling to a steady 1/2 - 2lb a week. Big first week losses are a lot of water, but it isn't all water, and off is still off!
I take it you started on a tuesday - I weighh in Tuesday at 6pm ... make sure you post your loss - it will be wonderful I am sure

Angie,
I know we shouldn't, and i wouldn't encourage anyone to...but....I tend to weigh myself every day in the morning out of curiosity and take the "up days" on the chin. Monday is my "note it" day. However, I have unitentionally started a routine of reacting to a morning increase in weight by making it a red day. If I loose I get to choose. This is based on the fact I tend to loose more on a red day than a green. Over the week I try to average 4 red days to 3 green days. I don't know whether there is any logic to this approach but hey it fools me into thinking i'm a scientist....:rotfl:

I agree with Angie - once a week for a weigh-in is often enough. If you speak to people who have had long-term weight problems or even to people who have resorted to weight loss surgery ..... this comes up time & time again.
If you weigh yourself daily it seems that many people get into this "Oh I've lost a pound so I'll have a treat" or "I've been really good and ate healthily the last 24 hrs and I've stayed the same, so blow it, I'll have a feast." Then the next day you've gained 2 lbs and you have another feast!!
I have stopped going to SW but still follow the plan and still weight myself at the same time just once a week. And I'm not gaining!!:j0 -
