hey all, am new here, been on and off slimming world but am determined to stick to it this time!!
Have about 5 stones to lose for target weight! (eek, how bad does that feel writing it down!)
Just weighing myself at home on my wii fit rather than going to classes as I know it quite well and am uber-skint!

Does anyone know the syns of these snacks (usually get them in holland and barretts but am sure they are elsewhere as well!)
Diced pineapple (its dried so dont think it counts as a freebie :( )
    Raspberry flavoured panda liqurace (sp)
The dried fruit bars in Apple & raspberry

thanks and keep up the good work folks!

  • Hi everyone and well done to all the losers - some of the losses are really fantastic! I haven't had time to read the thread every day this last week, but I have popped on when I've had time and thanks to those of you who told me that the quark and mullerlight "cheesecake" thing I made was free. I have another query - I bought some smoothie bars in Tesco yesterday - they are 30g and I got the cranberry and redcurrant ones. I threw away the box and put the bars in the biscuit tin, without realising that the nutritional info was only on the outer box, not on the bars. I think they were 98 calories each so would that make them about 5 syns? - they are not cereal bars - they are like concentrated fruit.

When I was in Tesco I bought the Branston vegetable ravioli which is 1 syn per tin, but I have to say that it wasn't that nice - I had it for lunch with some SW quiche but I wouldn't have it again! The Heinz meat free (which is free on EE and green) is WELL nicer! I don't normally have tinned stuff for lunch but I really like ravioli with SW vegetable quiche for some reason.....

If any of you have an Ethel Austin near you, I went in today and they had some lovely bath/shower gel in chocolate orange scent. I smelt it expecting it to smell rank but it smelled wonderful (honestly - EXACTLY like Terry's chocolate orange) and they had a matching lip balm. The packaging is like the Philosophy stuff and it was only £2 for a bottle and £1 for the lip balm. I got a set each for both DD's and both of my sisters for Easter instead of an egg - I don't want to have any unnecessary chocolate in the house over Easter and have told the kids not to get me any either! I think I will get a bottle of the shower gel for SOTW next week. They had other scents too - Strawberry milkshake, rhubarb and custard (bit iffy), lemon and lime, coconut and mango - all except the rhubarb were really natural smelling and lovely.

Evening all!! I managed to shake of the pesky lb that had sneaked back on last week. I was pleased with that, obviously I'd have been even happier to have lost more but I can't have everything, as much as I want it :D
Well done to all our losers and STS'ers, everyone seems to be getting back into 'The Zone'., by summer we'll all have model like physiques!

Friday night is for synning in our house. I save most of my syns for a Friday and always have it as a red day.

B - 2*Weetabix (HEB), Skimmed milk (HEA), Candarell
    Snack - 2*bananna
L -Lidl natural tinned salmon and salad, Lyness low fat vinegarette (1 syn say), Toffee Muller and some white grapes
Snack - Another toffee muller (Asda half price)
Tea - A LARGE DONER AND KOFTE MIX KEBAB WITH GARLIC SAUCE...
....IT WAS HUGE, ENORMOUS FATTY AND I'M STUFFED.

Loved it, treat of the week. Did throw the pitta though taking it down to around 100 syns....:rotfl:

*really* glad you enjoyed it peteyboy :D

I hate it when you look forward to something, use all your syns and find it a disappointment.

good job you left the pitta - you may have gone over your allowance if you had had that :rotfl:

    That kebab sounds yummmmmmy!!!!!

Well I've had a fairly good day today.....so far! Still trying to stick to EE (ish).

B: Mini shreaded wheat, milk, Tea (I syn on sugar)(HEA & HEB)
    S: Apple
L: Grilled Chicken Salad, i have a Raspberry & Pomegrante Vinegar (which I hope is free) and it's delicious, makes salads enjoyable.
S: Batchelors Curry Rice, just had some of the left over chicken too. Slipped a little, boys had some Easter Egg and I pinched some (3 syns as really wasn't much) but also took them to McD's ate half a portion of childs chips (5 syns?)

D: only just got the 2 little monsters to bed and no idea what to have, determined not to have take out!

Can anyone help, the only book I don't have out of the current pack is the Extra Easy one although I've read a friends!!! I know you are meant to have lots of Superfree foods to make it more beneficial, my question is, other than fresh fruit & veg what other foods are superfree? Is it only the ones that are free on green & red or is it the superspeed foods as well like chicken????

    Thanks in advance,

    B x
