    Evening all,

I knew today was going to be tricky and Im struggling to count the syns Ive had so if any one can 'best guess' then please let me know what you think.

B - 1 x Ryvita fruit break (1/2 heb) - I know this isnt strictly allowed but I wanted to allow for the food on the course so tried to save my bread (:o)
L - 2 x brown bread sandwich quarters (1/2 HEB) with ham - plate full of salad and a handful of crisps, plum and strawberry
D - Ate at mums so had roast chicken / carrots / sweetcorn / boiled pots / parsnip / small york pud / small stuffing portion / 3 x tbsp gravy

The problem with the sandwich for lunch is it had a scraping of mustard and had butter on the bread
For dinner, the parsnips were cooked in oil, the york pud was also homemade from suet etc and the york pud was also homemade. Gravy was also thickened with the rest of the york pud mix

So how many syns do you think I've had? I didn't use many yesterday as I knew I would struggle today so think should be ok, but I still need somethin to count

    TIA
    Zav

For what it's worth - I think you did OK ... anyone who says 'plateful of salad' when referring to a buffet has clearly been remembering the principles of SW, and not given into to buffet grazing (which is oh so easy :o)

If you really want to count - this is what I would write (and its not very technical!)

    2 for the butter
    yorkshire pud 9
    oil on neeps 4
    stuffing 3
    gravy 4
crisps (I am assuming you have small hands!) 3

:o oops oops oops - its all gone to pot:o

Toast and marmite has been haunting my dreams recently - and the last couple of nights I have totally given in.

here is my plan for tomorrow so I have to do it:

A good breakfast (probably Oatibix or Ryvita with marmalade)
take jacket potato and baked beans to work for lunch - and maybe buy some salad too.
Leave work ON TIME so that I'm not ravenous by the time I get home - and so can wait for a decent dinner
Go to the gymn in the evening for an hour
Leave all my syns for the evening so I have something to fall back on whilst spending time with the rugrats

Does anyone else find that tiredness/busyness are a lethal combination when you are trying to eat healthily??

Well I weighed in on Tuesday evening and have lost 1/2 lb. Not much but at least it was a loss. I'm not surprised really as we went out on Friday celebrating our 44th wedding anniversary.

Just a brief read over the thread to catch up but had to do a quick post to say congratulations on your 44th wedding anniversary Spirit and losing weight as well after going out!

    Oss xx

Ohh yes! This is my biggest struggle! I always dip mid afternoon that is when I reach for the tea and biccies! And when I get in from work and the kids are raiding their treats tin I always feel the need to dip in, plus I'm always starving but don't have time to eat till they've gone to bed so end up raiding the fridge/cupboard too - this is where I must have healthy snacks in! I need to find someting else to fill these gaps!
