As the forums are about to close  I am setting challenge of the week a day early.
The challenge can be carried out in the comfort of your own home or in your local supermarket.
Assuming you do this challenge in the supermarket, fill your trolley either with tins of beans / bags of spuds or bags of sugar equivalent to the weight you have lost.
Push the trolley round for ten minutes reminding yourself JUST how much weight you were carrying round ALL OF THE TIME.
If you do this challenge at home, I suggest you fill a rucksack with tins of beans, again equivalent to your weight loss and again carry this round for ten mins.
Recipe of the week will follow when the forums come back up after the weekend.
Take care everyone.0 -
I did ask this before but no-one answered! Is there an Eating Out Guide/Book for SW? My consultant doesn't seem to stock many books at meetings.
TIA

OMG  I was just looking at syns online on SW website at how good/bad some of the stuff I like to eat is, and discovered that a SMALL Dominos Cheese & Tomato Pizza (600g) is .......... 79syns!!!!
79syns for a small pizza! On a rare occassion I've been known to eat a large to myself, over a 2 day period (back in the student days!) - shocking.

Hi
I've been *trying* to do SW for 4 months now and have really not got very far. I think I have realised where I am going wrong. I got so caught up in what I *could* eat that I forgot what I *should* be eating. So I have been filling up on SW chips, fried eggs, and mug shots/pasta n sauces, and hardly eating any veggies or any varied fruits. I've also hardly been getting any exercise.
So my goal for the next month is to try and eat at least 1/3 of my plate as superfree foods at every meal, and to not have the same snack twice in one day (atm I eat 2 bananas and 2 apples every day, I need more variation).
It's my bf's birthday next week, so there's no way I'll be an angel all week, but from now on I'm going to try to cut down on a bit more on the things I know I shouldn't be doing and pay more attention to the things I know I should. I'm so fed up of not losing weight.
Sorry for the epic rant, hope everyone else is doing well
Katrina

Can anyone help, the only book I don't have out of the current pack is the Extra Easy one although I've read a friends!!! I know you are meant to have lots of Superfree foods to make it more beneficial, my question is, other than fresh fruit & veg what other foods are superfree? Is it only the ones that are free on green & red or is it the superspeed foods as well like chicken????
Thanks in advance,
B x
Superfree foods are foods that are free on red AND green. Nothing to do with superspeed at all
Superfree includes
salad,
all fruit,
most veg (not pots, neeps, corn etc),
eggs,
muller,
vlf yog / fromage frais etc
vlf cottage cheese,
tofu,TVP and quorn,
quark,
bovril (jar)
tea cofee,
marmite etc0 -
I know what you mean Katrina. A creature of routine myself and I eat too many banannas and grapes. For me though it is still working so I guess I will hang on until it no longer does. I think making sure you have some veg with every meal is a good idea. I keep some frozen mixed veg (Broc, Colli and Carrot) to hand so my mind isn't distracted for too long from what I could eat :-)
Today I broke back through the 100kg barrier :j
Does anyone know what my target weight (in kg) should be? I'm 6'1" and have fairly broad shoulders.

Hey - Huge congrats on your 100kg Petey!!! Wow!! :T :T
Your target can be whatever you want it to be. *honestly* - it is about thinking what you want from your weight loss, and when you will be satisfied
For myself, I looked at my BMI, and (according to the gov) we should have a BMI of 20-25. I found out what my weight would be at 20 / 22.5 and 25 ... then decided that for me, I would be satisfied (and happy) if I reached a BMI of 22.5 (as that was the weight I imagined myself) so that became my target weight -
does that help?0 -
Not sure if this has already been mentioned on here but noticed today that Muller Lights are currently 4 for £1 in Asda (all varieties) and Alpen Light Bars are 2 boxes for £3.

Crikey....so for a 22.5 BMI means that I need to be 77kg which is about 12 stone. I would look like a stick insect with all my ribs visible.....
I think 85kg to 90kg is about right for me.
Thanks for the congrats....next party at 90kg :-)

Also I found this on another website - Sainsbury's Be Good To Yourself Egg Mayo Sandwich Filler is FREE on both Green and Red days! It's a bit pricey £1.29 for small tub (or 2 for £2.50 atm), but you'd get at least 4 sandwich worth's out of it. It's tasty too, though I added some pepper to it.
