  • Can anyone tell me how to prepare and cook artichokes (both kinds) please? I'm going to try some as a friend said they were lovely. I can't remember the ones she was talking about though so that is why I asked about both kinds..
I saw two shooting stars last night
I wished on them, but they were only satellites
It's wrong to wish on space hardware
    I wish, I wish, I wish you'd care

Good luck, dont be embarrassed, your consultant is there to help.
Draw a line under your blip & get back on Sw. We all know it works but you do need to be in the right frame of mind.

A girl in my class actually drew a line in her book under her last weigh in, shes had gone off a bit, drawn a line under it & come back to class starting again not looking back to where she was before the blip.

Good luck for this week! & remember we're all here to talk to!

Morning All!! It's getting a bit quiet around here lately, there was a time when I couldn't keep up!! Anyways ................quite a good weekend, I think, Ate loads of fruit and veg and drank loads of diet coke and sf squash. I'm dtermined to lose that lb and a bit more too. Right, quick question for Angie, if she's about, or anyone else who may know come to think of it ......................Celeriac, I know there was quite a discussion about it a while back but I'm blowed if I can find it! What to use it for etc. etc. I nearly bought one the other day but it was quite pricey I thought (£1.69) though I may invest in one next week if I'm tempted by a recipe idea. Thanks in advance. Keep going everyone :j

  • Hiya -

Celeriac - I really like them (hey! I grow them!) but find they can be a bit 'strong' on their own, so I really like them mixed 50/50 with mash (makes your pile of mash go much further!) as the celeriac is free.

You can also treat them like SW chips, parboil then roast - although I tend to do this with cubes rather than chip shapes  and they need a fair bit of salt

I also think they would make a fantastic gratin - sliced and cooked in stock/milk til really soft in the oven. some parmesan on top would make them heavenly :D

hope that helps, and for what its worth, £1.69 does seem quite steep - they are in season, so if you can get to a market, they should be cheaper there.
