have you got sweetener and paper cases in the house, the kind you use for cupcakes? You could buy some bargain basement strawberries, then chop up some strawberries really small, add a little sweetener, creme fraiche then crush the merangue nests through, mix up and serve in the paper cases, a mini eaton mess. That maybe too messy and means you have to buy strawberries, but you could add another fruit if you have it. They would only be a couple of syns each.
Perfect idea!
Yep got sweet n low sugar stuff and should have some paper cases lying about somewhere.
Well I've got loads of other fruit - satsumas, plums, banana, apple so I'll use one of those instead.
Great thanks so much for that.

Just wanted to recommend Joe's Syn free Sausages - I am a Sausage snob and am very fussy about them, we ordered about 4 types & some syn free chinese flavoured chicken and all really tasty - our 20 month & 4 yr old especially agree with the chipolatas whcih means Sausages are back on the menu regularly now (We havent got on with any of the low syn ones so far)
My wife's consultant ordered them for the group - specifying the delivery day so it was the same day as class so was all collected fresh.0 -
ooh they sound nice I love sausages! Can you buy them from a supermarket?

Anyone got any ideas for salmon steaks for tea the night, OH usually does all the cooking but he's broken his hand so it's me who is cooking and I have no idea what to do with them.
I dont like lemony food so nothing like that lol:j Baby boy Number 2, arrived 12th April 2009!:j0 -
I like to syn a table spoon of honey and just cook them on foil with honey poured over them for 15-20 mins. My kids love them like this with new pots and broccolli Or you could marinade them soy sauce, garlic and ginger for a chinese style salmon, serve with stir fry veg and noodles. thats the 2 ways I normally make mine.astonsmummy wrote: »Anyone got any ideas for salmon steaks for tea the night, OH usually does all the cooking but he's broken his hand so it's me who is cooking and I have no idea what to do with them.

Im not sure fresh cream freezes all that well, it might go wattery and split when defrosted, maybe someone else could tell you for sure. Ive tried to freeze a carton of milk and thats what happened to that. You could maybe just scrape the cream off, it would still be lovely and chocolatey but less syns .
Hi, I didn't think it would work that well, never mind
As for scraping the cream off? no chance, that's the best bit of the cake! OH actually said it's the best cake I've ever made! nah I'll eat it as it is but only have small portions so I'm satisfied but not stuffed, I've leave the lions share to OH, it is his birthday cake after all! They have the internet on computers now?! - Homer Simpson

Yes, they are made daily and sent out same or next day so have not been frozen before so OK to freeze - were going to be doing our Christmas order soon as they do sausage meat as well for stuffing.0
