    Hi

Just wondering if anyone has successfully made ice cream with Muller lights, quark or any other combination? I have an ice cream maker and would really like to have a go but it would be great if someone has a recipe I could try.

I treat myself the the Slimming World curry recipe book from Amazon and it has some amazing recipes in it. Maybe good to ask for Christmas prezzie?

    Thanks.

Skint Catt my oh has had to move away from home for work, it was meant to be a wee while but hes been away for a year and a half, we both hate it, he's very lonely and misses me and the kids and im lonely and knackered looking after the house, pets and 2 young uns. Its not looking likely that he'll get a job close to us (hes a primary teacher) so were considering moving near him or wherever he gets a job. Theres loads of jobs in the Scottish Highlands and islands but I really dont want to move.
Our eldest will be starting school next year and she is very settled here, im also a bit of a home body and like being close to my family. But we cant live apart for much longer, so we will consider moving where the work is and making a life there.
Are you considering moving to Edinburgh with your oh?

Ive tried making the malteser recipe online, it had toffee muller lites, fromage frais, crushed maltesers, it was yucky, really cheesy and hard. I didnt use an ice cream making though maybe churning it might make it creamier.
I think theres a recipe in this months mag, its more an ice cream rather than frozen yoghurts. I guess you could have fun experimenting.

Im going to try a different approach this week, im going to try and have a grapefruit or and orange before breakfast. This was on a fast forward plan ive got on my fridge door from a year ago. I guess it gets your metabolism a kick start in the morning  but i love grapefruit so will give it a go. Im also off swimming today. the kids are both at nursery today, I really should be doing housework but this is the only me time I get in the week so im off to do lengths.

Im having a green day today
Brekkie - Grapefruit, 2 weetabix and a nana, milk (heb, hea)
lunch - mug shot and cheese sarnie (heb, hea)
dinner - 3 bean chilli, Sw chips and salad
afters, shape lasting satisfaction yoghurt, satsuma and a blue ribband with a cuppa later (5syns)

now to brave putting on the swimming cossie

Skint Catt you can have free chips on red day.......just use celeriac, it really does work

Ewwwwww not a chance. But thanks for the suggestion!

Thanks olly and nic. If I had to move to coventry it wouldn't be so bad - it's less than an hour from home but must have been a drag for you from where you are now. Nic, yes. OH is commuting Mon & Fri to & from Edinburgh at the mo, but the company won't pay for that forever (the contract is at least 5 years guaranteed work-started 2/3 months ago) and need someone to head the department up there. There's no work in Birmingham for him so if he refuses to go then he'll be made redundant like me. :( It's a chance of more money & a promotion for OH but as much as I love Edinburgh I can't bear the thought of moving away from my parents. We're getting married next year and I don't want to be so far from my Mum when/if we have babies plus my Dad needs care and I don't want to leave Mum alone to do it all. Just don't know what to do but I'm starting to feel I have no choice......

went to my first WI last night - 2lbs off!! woo hoo

I can't believe this diet actually works. i have eaten like a pig all week (but stuck to the plan!)
  • Hey all!
Not going to WI this week as half term & am changing classes.

Well I started a mon morning class & that was good but my sis joined a different class on a weds morning. So went there. But it was awful. Same consultant but the people there....lets just say, they are stereotypical of the area.
So on Mon will go back to my normal class.

    I feel starving atm.
Had 2 weetabis with sk milk & banana for breakfast.

Just had 2 pears, 2 plums & a FF activia.

Lunch shall be baked potato with cheese/beans & brocolli.

Not sure what to have for dinner.

I am veggie but eat fish so mainly do green days. Also I don't like quorn.

    Lisa
  • well my indian meal i had 48 syns - half a naan, machli tandoori with boiled rice, mixed tikka grill for starter and some mint yoghurt sauce it was yummy. i have 36.5 syns to last me till i get weighed on thursday so don't think i've done too bad syns wise this week. fingers crossed to get my stone award.
