    good luck
if you go back the post lots of us same q
    so did i xx
  • Went to my WI tonight after I finished work. Lost 2 1/2lbs. Now reached my 1/2 stone mark. :D:D:D
  • Babelfish- Yes it works, I have lost 22lbs in 5 weeks. Stick with it to the letter (or there abouts :D ) and there will def be less of you!

Beachbeth- ha ha! Yeah reading back it does sound like that! No sadly alcohol isn't my friend anymore, :D yet another thing that I have given up. I'm a great one for giving up stuff, I am very all or nothing so rather than cut down, I like to give it up entirely- Alcohol, smoking, dairy, chocolate, sweeteners, Coca-cola, Tea/ Coffee/ caffeine, to name but a few! How can I still have weight to lose! ha ha ha! I don't find it hard to cut stuff out completely- I just can't do half measures hence why I find food an issue as I have to eat sometimes I can't just cut it out completely. Lol!
  • Also beachbeth, when it is that time of the month, I find it useful to make a big pasta/ rice salad to keep in the fridge, or some pasta and pesto, risotto etc something filling but quick to just heat up or eat cold to stop you grabbing something else instead. Also the chips are great aren't they! With lot's of beans and some sausages (veggie for me, and if you eat them some frylight eggs too) it feels really 'junky' but is actually fine. Baked spud and beans is another fave of mine when I need to feel full!

You'll find lots of info if you read the thread from the beginning (I know it's huuuge but worth the trouble).

Post 3039:- These are the (easy) rules you need to follow:

    Extra Easy:

    1: Choose your Free Food

Anything that’s Free Food on Green OR Original – so that’s pasta, rice, potatoes, lean meat, poultry, fish and all the Superfree food – is totally Free on Extra Easy! Yes, you can eat unlimited meat, potatoes and veg, fish, chips and mushy peas, and chicken curry and rice with no measuring, no weighing, no counting – no kidding!
And for super-fast, super healthy results, fill one third of your plate with Superfree Food!

    2: Choose your Healthy Extras

Each day select one Healthy Extra ‘a’ choice and one Healthy Extra ‘b’ choice from our simplified list of calcium and fibre-filled foods, including milk, cheese, bread and cereal.

3: Enjoy 5-15 Syns each day

And if the Syn values for Green and Original foods are different on the standard Syns lists, count the lower one!

    ***********

If you find your weight loss has slowed down or stopped, check………
1.Whether everything you're counting as Free, is Free

    2.Whether you're under-estimating Syn values (over-estimate if guessing)

3.Whether you're counting everything that should be counted

4.Whether you're measuring everything that should be measured

5.Whether you're sabotaging your success in any other way (using SAS logs will help uncover individual long-term self-sabotage patterns) and, if none of these is the culprit, either...........

A: increase the proportion of Superfree Foods to half of your plate

    OR

B: switch to more Speed Foods

And above all, if you follow the plan, any plan, 100% you will lose weight!
I let my mind wander and it never came back!
  • Thanks, Consultant!

Can I just say I get a bit confused when people put WI because in my head that stands for Women's Institute!:rotfl:

(Of course, I know it actually means weigh-in.)
  • Afternoon everyone.

I've really been struggling yesterday and today. I started college yesterday and i'm really nervous and stressed about it. I used some rescue remedy but it didnt help and in the end i ate 2 twirls and a twix yesterday, and i can feel myself heading the same way today  So i am expecting a gain at WI tomorrow but i'm ok with that. Only one new class to get through this afternoon and i will be back to normal by the morning, hopefully.

Hope everyone else is having a better week than me xx

I was looking at SW online but can't find the books for sale. Can you only get them if you're a member? I bought one last year from the website. Its not fair because Im a bit agoraphobic and shy and can't go to a group (believe me I certainly don't mind paying the £9.50!) and yet its £80 to join online!!!

You can buy any of the cookery books direct from Slimming World by ringing the book order line on 0844 892 04 04 :)

  • Hello, just picking brains. Did SW a few years back and it was a great success - going to start again ready for hols but trying at home rather than attending meetings.

Could anyone tell me the syn values of Berry flavour snack-a-jacks and Banoffe flavour weight watchers angel delight type thing. Hope someone knows as these things weren't out when I did it but I would like to include them as my treats :)

    Cheers
