This is brilliant and i think you have hit the nail on the head!:Tconsultant31 wrote: »Does this ring a bell for anyone?
Last night I sat looking through my diary and found the following:-.
January - New Year's day
February - Valentine's Day
March - Mother's day
April - Good Friday, Easter Saturday, Sunday & Monday and eldest son's birthday.
May - My birthday & 2 bank holidays
June - Father's Day & wedding anniversary
July - 2 weeks Annual Holiday, not forgetting 2nd sons birthday party
August - Relatives staying for two weeks
September - Hubby's birthday
October - Halloween party
November - Bonfire Night
December - Work's parties, Christmas Day, Boxing day & New Year's Eve.
To summarise :
Out of 365 days in the year there are 50 days I've already mentioned, but there are also 52 friday nights, 95 Saturday & Sundays, 72 days when the kids are off school, 26 family & friend's birthdays.
Which means that is a total of 295 days when I DIDNT follow the plan, leaving just 70 days of the year when I was on the plan!
Could that be why I am not losing weight?1vs 100 £505500/335.25 (5.5K COMING DOWN)20.00/10,000(10K GOING UP)Not long now0 -

Hey Hey!
Started slimming world 4 weeks ago - currently at 12lb off! So glad I've found this thread - the recipies are awesome! Class is on Saturday mornings (so I can cheat saturday nights! ;0D )
So a big Hellllllllllloooooooooooo to all you lovely slimmer people! :0D0 -
Well done you losers! lol
I'm on target to lose around 5lb this week (I joined the website and am due to weigh in on Sunday morning) though I have a friend to stay this evening through to Monday I'm going to do my best to stay on track and not overdo the syns.
I'm eating tonnes of super speed foods today to fill me up before we go out for dinner tonight so I wont be tempted by all the naughty foods on the menu.
Has anyone tried flexible syns when they've been out? how did it work? They have the internet on computers now?! - Homer Simpson

Wow 5lbs is awesome!! I have strawberrys on my desk and a Jacket Spud with beans in the microwave! :0D
Tonight im making icecream! the ben and jerrys phish food in my freezer keeps calling me so im going to make my own and force my poor boyfriend into clearing out the Ben and Jerrys for me!!0 -
Welldone, 5lbs is fantastic :T :T
Ive used flexi syns on several occasions as it keeps me form going completely off plan. I pick and amount and basically stick to it. I usually go for 50-60 syns, try and either skip starter or make a really healthy choice, have a nice main then if I feel like it a nice pud and some wine. During the day I try and stick to superfree foods like eggs and quorn. The idea is that your still in control instead of going off plan, then getting up the next day and say oh well i may as well and head for the biscuit tin. I only do it everyso ofen if I know I wont be able to control myself. Ive still lost or sts on those weeks ive used flexi syns.
My tip is to drink as much water during the day, fill up on fruit etc during the day, maybe even a banana while getting ready. Then relax and enjoy your night, tomorrow back on plan again.
Hope you have a nice night.Well done you losers! lol

Hello SaintlyLinda and welcome.
I love flexi syns, I one way to not let life get the best of you. It means you can still with in reason enjoy a good night out but also you don't need to feel guilty the next day. You can also use it to reward yourself and again not feel guilt. Plus it mixes your diet up abit so that you body doesn't get used to the diet.
Also i would save you syns the day/days before you want them as you a) because you then have your limit not to go over and b) you might not be able to put the syns back afterwards.
Had a little bit of chocolate today as i thought it might take my head away - it didn't but i did enjoy it. I only eat half the bar so i only used up 4.5 syns.

I lost 2 lbs this week as it's a star week!
I have been doing it 5 weeks and have lost 1stone 9lbs!!! I need to keep up the good work as I want to get down in to the next stone bracket in the next few weeks.
I have done SW before and although I lost, my heart wasn't really in it, this time I was def ready for the change and the difference in my attitude towards food is unbelievable.
Keep going everyone, and well done all you losers!0 -
