I've looked for things like an excercise bike but there just to expensive. I'm just totally out of idea's
Swimming- low impact, can go at your own pace and most pools do a ladies only session if your shy in your cossie or aqua aerobics.
Yoga- very good toning exercise, I look for full workouts on youtube (yoga yak have good sessions 35-55 mins long) this also includes a relaxation section so you can relax and rest. You don't get hot and sweaty so would be fine for asthma and it really helps your overall well being and flexibility (can you tell I'm a convert)
Walking group in your area, good to have a motivation to go.
Ask on free cycle for an exercise bike- they are always coming up on our local one, or ask for a real bike and go on short rides and build up to longer ones.
What about something like badminton, most leisure centres run sessions and can be as physical or easy as you like.
If I know I won't get round to doing much exercise in the week I try to do everything I normally do, but really fast and with lot's of enthusiasm- ie active cleaning where I run around the house and give everything a good going over, with a lot of elbow grease- sweep the carpets rather than hoover as this brings them up much nicer and is a workout, and run instead of walk every time you go upstairs etc.
Good luck finding something, it is tricky to find things that fit in with your lifestyle.0 -
I cant swim
I do take the kids every now and then, while i dont actually swim i'm playing with the kids in the water.
I never thought of youtube, i think i'll sit and see what i can find on there tonight.
I get soooo bored of walking, i brought an ipod to help with the boredom and now i'm even bored of that  Theres just no where to go around here except a big retail park but then i spend money!
Thanks for the tips :beer:Baby Thomas Jake 'TJ' is due 01.11.100 -

I get bored of walking sometimes, so try to drag people along with me, for a while it was great DD was fine in the buggy for an hour or so and I could have a decent walk, now she is running around and doesn't enjoy being stuck in the buggy for long periods of time, so I find it hard to fit in long walks (but I try to do a few shorter walks over the week.)
Like I said before, I enjoy Yoga the most, as it really helps to relax me, I sleep better and feel so much better the day after.
I love to swim too but find it hard to find the time to get in a real swim, though regularly take DD for a splash about! (why does just being in the water make you crave chips though! lol! even without the exercise I always want to eat chips after!) What about being super super brave and enrolling in an adult swim class? A friend of mine (who is 40) just did this and for the first time in his life can swim!! But on the other hand my DH can't swim and I know he would never even get in the water, so appreciate it's not for everyone.
There will be something you can tolerate (enjoy might be a strong word) hope you find something good on youtube.

I use the marigold boullion powder. I find it very good for stews, gravies, sauces etc.
soy sauce.
Miso paste.
You can make syn free (on green) gravy by using water, onions, frylight, marmite, miso, boullion (or any other flavours) and smash to thicken, cook the onions in frylight, make a stock in a cup/ jug using any of the above flavours (marmite etc..) add this to the pan and sprinkle smash in while stirring. Yummy!0 -
Writing about using smash in gravy reminded me of these things I used to make when I did SW years ago. I would make up a bowl of smash, mix in some flavour ie herbs or a bit of soy sauce etc.
Then form into either:
1) balls and place on tray cover in frylight and bake, they come out a bit crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle like a syn free potato croquette (maybe you could get fancy and try making a waffle shape)
2) Make a ball and make a dip in the middle so it makes a little 'pastry case' shape, then bake as above and fill with cottage cheese/ or savoury cooked veg or whatever really to make a sort of vol au vent kinda thing. Obviously not as nice, but great if you are an evening snacker like me!!!
Gotta love the smash!(I'm off to asda tomorrow to buy some! lol!)
