Wow, now five weeks into the Slimming World eating plan and I’ve lost half a stone... couldn’t believe it when I stepped on the scales yesterday morning Yipppeeeehhhh!
I read today about Jessie Wallace losing 2 stone in six weeks, however – how on earth did she do that? That’s amazing, but surely not healthy? I know my weight loss isn’t very fast, but it’s steadily dropping off, so I’m happy.
I haven’t increased my activity yet, but on Sunday I tidied my bedroom and unearthed my stepping machine (used over the past few years only to hang t-shirts on the handlebars) (the only part of it that was visible underneath all the clutter).
Yes, I’ve got too much unnecessary ‘stuff’ in my home, so I’m putting my house on a diet, as well as myself! OK, I haven’t actually thrown my junk away yet, just shifted it to the landing for now (but that’s closer to the front door that it was and I also found some things to sell on eBay for a few bob). But most importantly, when I walk into my bedroom now, it’s like a breath of fresh air. I can now SEE the stepping machine.
Haven’t actually got on it, yet, but I will. One step at a time!
I’m also saving money, too... I’m eating more fruit & veg, which I know is expensive, but I’m spending so much less on crisps & snacks and cooking more from scratch. I recently compared what I used to take for my packed lunch to work to what I take now and I’m gobsmacked at how much fat my old lunch contained (I’ve become a label-holic).
Originally confused with Slimming World’s philosophy of ‘eat as much as you like of free foods’ regardless of the calorie content, I was pretty pessimistic, but it’s working!
Sorry, rambled on again...
Best wishes to you all x0 -

I find the weight gain catches up with you the week after unless you are really good! There have been a few weeks I dread going as have been bad, to find I've lost weight! If I'm really good I continue to loose the next week also0

Hello, I joined SW a month ago and have lost 8lb so far and really chuffed. Trying to cook from scratch as much as possible and my lovely neighbour keeps giving me fruit off his allotment, this week its gooseberries but what can I do with them, has anyone got any ideas? i've been on the SW website but not found any on there.
Thanks VLT0 -
Hello everyone, I haven't posted for a few days as had a very busy weekend. Has anyone else been a bit disappointed with the new magazine? It's full of lovely inspirational stories, but not many recipes I felt. Maybe it's just me... although the cupcakes look delicious and at only 2 syns each i will def be cooking them tonight!!
I am also getting a bit stuck on recipe ideas, I have lots of the books though so as tonights quorn sausages and mash is sorted I will spend the evening going through it!!
Glad to see everyone seems to be loosing the weight fairly quickly, I've been at it for 7 weeks and lost 10.5 lbs, and my class has been cancelled next week so I'm really really hoping I can shift that 3.5lbs in 2 weeks!! MUST be strict!!Joined Slimming World 19th May 2009

Had wi last night and i lost 1/2 lb, which i was so surprised at as i had, had my niece's wedding and had a large amount of liquid syns.
I have now lost 9lb's and can't believe i am sticking to it.
I don't feel any different and people really haven't noticed yet, although my trousers feel as if they are digging in less and also not so much hang over of the belly.
I feel so determined now.Started slimming world 4th November 2010

Hi smegs, Well done on losing half, they all add up. I only lost half last week, got WI tonight so hoping for a bit more.
I've only lost 8 1/2 so far along with going to the gym. No one has noticed any difference in me, tbh, I don't feel much different either but my work trousers are not pinching into my gut any longer. Probably cos I don't eat much bread at all now, I never realised how much that bloated me up.
I'm determined to stick with it.Be happy, it's the greatest wealth0 -
I lost another 2lbs this week. thats 9lbs in 3 weeks that ive been back on it. I feel really good. Been on mostly green days as I struggle with snacks on a red day. But had maybe 1 or 2 EE days each week. Ive also been having my 15 syns daily rather than saving them for the weekend like i used to.
today is EE as we had loads of pasta n sauces to use up and had already taken out steaks for BBQ
todays menu is
B - 2 slices of nimble with 2 poached eggs. HEB,free and 0.5 syn for spread
L - Pasta n sauce, beans and quorn peppered steak. can anyone tell was the quorn thingy free? I hope so cos it was vile.
D - BBQ with rump steak, extra lean burgers, pork fillet kebabs, salad (from the garden) and new pots (also from the garden)
snacks - fruit, shape yogs and loads of water. Milk in Tea (HEA)
syns - as above and a kit kat with a cuppa later (5 syns):santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -
