    Hi all,

I've been on hols and there are so many more pages on here!

Well, I haven't yet weighed in as it was first day back at work today and thought I might not be able to handle 2 disappointments in one day! BUT, I was quite active on hols although I did have a daily dose of wine and an ice cream but the rest was fairly civilised and the work clothes feel the same as before, so am hoping for a STS result in the morning.

Anyway, before I do a big 'back from holiday' food shop I am trying to be very MSE and use the things I have in the cupboard, therefore could anyone help me with the syn values of these?:

    Fish fingers
400g tin cream of tomato soup
Asda healthy eating farmhouse veg cuppa soup
Cous cous (is this free on green?)
Millet (is this free on green?)

    Thanks in advance!

Sophster1 - good luck on your WI today - lets hope you didn't do too much damage on your hols! Cous Cous is free on green and I think that Millet is too - although not sure about fish fingers or the soup. If you let the fish defrost & peel off the breadcrumbs ( a lot of faff I know ) then the fish will be free on red.
I'm on day 8 now of re-starting my slimming plan for 2009, and am totally disheartened because I lost 4lbs last week. I know that is good for a lot of people but my husband who only joined me on it for 5 days, managed to lose 8lbs!!! Can you believe it? NOT FAIR (toddler type tantrum)
Anyway, I'm putting that behind me and am pressing on with the plan. Lots and lots of EE days for me this week - we seem to find it works better as a family that way.

Never have a man as a diet buddy (unless you are a man...which I am sure you are not Katie!) they always lose quick the jammy devils!

Right, quick pop quiz for ya! What would you all think this was on red or extra easy?

Ingredients: Chicken, lemon juice, garlic puree, ginger puree, lemon peel, parsley, coriander powder, cumin, salt, turmeric, black pepper....

    Dear all
I picked up something interesting in the supermarket's Polish section (that's Polish not polish) today, Vollkornbrot Wholemeal Rye Bread, in a little packet about the size of scan bran (but costing £1). There appears to be 7 or 8 "slices", and they are not dry like scan bran/ryvita but feel squishy. I just wondered if anyone would know or could work out the syns, or even better if they are HEB!! ;)

The ingredients are Whole rye meal (51.9%), water, salt, yeast. No preservatives. The package weighs 250g and there's no other nutritional info on there in any language.

Thanks for any help, I shan't open it until I know just in case they are tasty.
    :jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j

    thank you Slimming World!

    2. What cereal could i have an an HE B which is nutty and crunchy & could be mixed with VLF yoghurt ? I don't fancy any of the ones in the EE booklet .

    !

You can use anything from the HEs lists in the Food Optimising book.

Don't forget to have a third of a plate of super-free foods with each meal and your weight losses should be great.
I let my mind wander and it never came back!

Pheweee! - weighed in this morning and have stayed the same which is a relief.

It does however mean that I have been doing SW for 4 weeks and am still the same (I lost 2 the 1st week and put it back on the next) BUT I have been on holiday and had a hen weekend neither of which were too easy on the wine, so I won't beat myself up about it.

Instead I am going to really focus on sticking to the plan and upping my exercise to 4 sessions a week. I did a yoga session last night and want to get another one in tonight, then 2 sessions at the gym at the weekend (or 1 gym, 1 Davina).

I have a wedding in 3 weeks and would like to lose 4 lbs by then.

    Fingers crossed!

    you would think free

but i think you are going to surprise us?!

Yeah, I thought free too, but on checking it was 5.5syns the blasted thing! seems they used very fatty chicken thighs, so the total packet was 300 cals and 14g fat! Asked my leader about it last night and she said yes, def 5.5 syns...won't be having that again, think will make my own from lean chicken!!

Well, lost 3.5lb which is good, I can't deny I was secretly hoping for more in my first week (as per other diets!) but when I think how well I've eaten it is still somewhat of an achievement :D

Haven't got much going on this week but am going to see Oasis on Sunday....not sure it's a good idea to blow all my syns on booze the day before weigh in!!
