New Slimming World Support Thread

Ah Hello people,
I'm Tess and I've just joined the website aswel as deciding to try Slimming world properly by myself rather than going to group as the groups I have been to haven't benefited me. Unfortunately I had to go alone which made me feel stared at lol and I just didn't find it supportive. No one made effort to talk to me ect ect.
So I searched on my second day of going it alone for the syns in a average size crunchie bar and up popped all your amazing posts!!
I have put on so so much weight from comfort eating my way through a degree course. I am:
5ft 4inch
no idea how heavy, planning on sticking to SW for at least a week so I lose a bit before I weigh myself.
I know I am at leat 12stones. maybe more.
I want to be ten.
So I hope you all don't mind if I chip in and ask questions and let you all know how I get on. This new EE confused me lol. Bought the new mag today and noticed it being used. Haven't read it properly.
Do I guess right in that you can eat meat and carbs on the same plate lol now that would be good. but have to eat only one HE A and B and 10-15 syns? If thats the case I reckon I could crack it this time and actually get to ten stones. Sounds much more like what I need.
Right I'm babbling on but finding free online SWers is just so great
Hope you are all lighter and brighter with today sun lol and basically being good

 42 lbs to go  :rolleyes:0 -
Hi Tess. Nice to meet you. I'm in my 3rd week (arghhhhh) of slimming world and loving it - have a pack of 5 crunchie's in the fridge myself lol. 9 syns
- have had a real bad day of hunger and snaccky feelings but it is ok on this 'diet' as i can snack and munch to my hearts content! Got some SW chips on to help the picking feelings and it is keeping me away from them crunchies lol
DFW since JAN 2009 - 2014 will be the year i finally clear debtsJust to see which month

Someone asked about getting SW from your GP - called Slimming World on Referral. It has a website for health professionals here: http://slimmingworldmagazine.co.uk/health/Default.aspx.
Now, I gather that this isn't nationwide. It depends on whether your local Primary Care Trust (PCT) is funding it. To find out if your PCT does, I'd suggest contacting them directly, as even if they do, it's not guaranteed that individual health professionals know about it! A list of PCTs is here: http://www.nhs.uk/servicedirectories/Pages/PrimaryCareTrustListing.aspx If anyone knows of a better way of finding out if it's funded, please let me know- Edit: I guess your local consultant might know!

hi all, i have been reading this thread everyday for the last few weeks and find it very motivational.
I have lost 8 lbs in the last two weeks which is very motivating for me.
I originally started sw in july but i couldnt get into it.
Now withe the EE i find it a lot easier to do and find that i am sticking to it and seeing results.
My goal is to lose 2 stone initially then another 2 stone, however sying 4 makes it seem harder.0 -
Thanks SW_mina, it was me that asked
Im looking to join a group again, but i have just found out that the one i used to go to is now ran by, well lets say, someone who doesnt like me very much at all. So i do not want to join there now as I know she will make it awkward for me.
i have just looked into the bodyoptimise site, but TBH i prob wont follow it then as there isnt much onus to shame me into not loosing IYSWIM!
I was convinced that that there was a group on a sunday near me, but on the SW site it doesnt list it... Im so gutted now, had psyched myself up for joining again on monday but now dont know what to doPlease be nice to all moneysavers!

are you on a green day? if so, maybe have a bowl of marion's breakfast rice (albeit it's evening!).
(pudding rice cooked with water for 20 mins, then mix through a mullerlight)
