Pudding tonight was lush so thought I'd share:
Bread and butter pudding - serves two (either: 2 syns plus half a HEb, or 5 syns)
28g raisins
3 slices Weight Watchers Brown Danish bread (the least brown brown bread I've ever known!)
2 eggs
3 tbsp of Splenda
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 vanilla Muller Light
Nutmeg
Cut the crusts off the bread and lay in an oven-proof tin. Sprinkle the raisins over.
In a bowl, beat the eggs, Splenda and vanilla extract together. Add HALF the Muller Light and beat again. Add nutmeg to taste.
Pour the mixture over the bread, making sure to cover it completely. Sprinkle with more nutmeg if desired.
Bake in a medium oven (180 ish) for 20 minutes or until set.
Serve warm with the rest of the Muller Light.0 -
Woohoo do it in style! You have to have a treat every so often, best to really enjoy it when you do  Did you have it hot or cold? Did you have a bit of sauce on the side? My mouth is watering lol. I shall have to make do with a muller and strawberries...not really the same
lol.
Heehee! I had it with salad - not the traditional way, eh? I had to put the pastry in the bin straight off or I'd have been picking at it! To be honest, there wasn't much filling - but it was still lush.0 -
Hi, could I join? I had my first meeting last Thursday morning but I'm finding the information on here almost more helpful than I was given there! I've about six stone to lose, I think, having looked on the nhs weight/BMI calculator for my height. I lost about four stone, four years ago and then became pregnant and it all went back on again :rolleyes2 Now my lovely dd has started school this week I've two hours in the afternoon during my ds nap to jump up and down to my old exercise DVDs and I'm determined to get rid of it all again before I turn the big 40 next year.
Can I ask a few no brainer questions of those who've been doing it a bit longer than me? My consultant suggested that as I'm a veggie I should do only green days but looking around on here I'm not sure that's right. Are there any other veggie SW people who can let me know what they've found?
Um, what's STS? I've managed to work out HEa and HEb but I'm stuck with STS and can't figure it out at all.
I noticed that a few people have spoken about a password to access the SW site. The consultant didn't mention it on Thursday, is it extra, or did I probably miss it during the sign up thing? I'm not expecting anyone to email it to me or anything, I just wondered whether I needed to register, or pay some extra, or something.
I'm worried already about the WI - I had been doing really well with exercise (100 mins walking dd to and from school, 90 mins at the allotment, 20 mins aerobics :A every day since Tuesday) then I twisted my ankle badly on Friday morning at the allotment and my foot is twice the size it should be, so no exercise for me for a week or so - and that's about the only way I lose weight! Plus I hadn't had a chance to do my weekly shop to get all the good stuff in, OH refused to go for me (he hates shopping) and the soonest I could get a delivery of healthy stuff in from Asda is Sunday. My OH bought me a king size Mars bar, king size Marathon and a cream egg to cheer me up on the way back from the medical centre though  at least *he* was happy after I pointed out I couldn't eat them and so he scoffed the lot!Slimming World convert, joined 23rd April 2009

Hi Rabbit
I'll have a go at answering a few of your questions!
I only do green days - I'm not a veggie but I don't like meat. I can't see why you'd want to do other days than green days if you don't eat meat? Maybe I'm misunderstanding what you mean?
STS = Stayed the same
The password for the website should be on a board where you pay your weekly membership fee and our consultant announces it at the beginning of meetings too. There's a new password each week but each word is valid for about 2 weeks so it doesn't matter if you miss it one week. If you ring your consultant she'll be able to give it to you.
I haven't done any exercise and I've lost over a stone in about 5 weeks. If you stick to the eating plan then you should lose weight. Good luck xxx0 -
Hi Rabbit,
I agree with room512 that if you stick to the eating plan then you will lose weight, full stop, and doing exercise will just boost that loss (well done on all your activity).
As a veggie I can't imagine why you would do red days either and as soon as you get the website password then you'll find loads of recipes delicious recipes for green days. often I have a green day if I haven't much in because we usually have some pasta and tins of tomatoes/beans in the storecupboard and I can generally cobble something together. I think there may even be a SW recipe section in the old style money saving section of the forum.
Good luck and welcome.Saving to pay the tax man0 -
Oh, thank you for the info on the password - I spent most of my time keeping an eye on my ds as it was his nap time and I was trying to keep him happy. I'll have a better look around next time.
I was wondering about the green and red days because it seems like it's easier to lose weight on the red days? And quorn/tofu etc seemed to be free whichever kind of day you were doing so I wasn't sure whether i should be doing both. I'll have to read the books (again!) to try and get a better understanding I suppose.
Thank goodness Asda are turning up today, then it's SW friendly food all the way:DSlimming World convert, joined 23rd April 2009

Hi rabbit, i'm mainly veggie (occasional fish eater) and i've been following green since joining 7 weeks ago. quorn is a major part of my meals; and you are right it is free on Red too, but i tend to eat it with rice , pasta and potatoes which are free on green. It's working for me just following green and have lost 15.5 lbs in 7 weeks. have just started incorporating some walking and bike rides over the last 2 weeks and that is helping to boost the losses.
good luck, it gets easier after the first couple of weeks and this forum is really helpful too.:beer:0 -
Morning all!
Well I was really hoping for a 1 pound loss this week to get my stone award, bad timing means its been star week & for the 1st time in a long time I've had really bad chocolate cravings!
I havent been really silly but may have gone slightly over on my syns fri & sat, I guess WI on monday will reveal if I was too naughty!!!
Going to my dads for lunch today & we're having gammon & cauliflower cheese, so I think im gonna go for an EE day, tho I'm not sure how many syns would be in the cauliflower cheese......might just go for free food the rest of the day so not to make WI any worse!!
Have a good day all!0
