I seem to remember someone saying on green days they used blobs of mashed potato instead of dumplings and it turned out OK  never tried it myself tho

I've got a proper (ie not Ginsters!) Cornish pasty for tea tonight, but I'm not going to eat any of the pastry, just the innards. Anyone help me figure out what the syn value of that would be? I don't know how they make pasties - do they add fat in there with the meat and potato??? The lady told me the meat is put in raw, so I know it's not been pre-fried, and it's steak so...

They add fat, salt and sugar normally. A large (170g) cornish pasty is 22.5 syns, a jumbo (240g) is 32 syns. 28g pastry is 7.5 syns. Even if you take off the pastry I think its still going to be over 15 syns. Why not have something else? Or just flexi syn it?

Na, it's a treat to myself so I've eaten it :p It weight a whopping 350g... so that's 45 syns according to the values above... I took all the pastry off and weighed that, which was 280g - but that would be 75 syns just for the pastry (7.5 syns x 10 ounces). Hmmm. Oh what the hell - I think I'll just take it as a naughty flexi treat!

Woohoo do it in style! You have to have a treat every so often, best to really enjoy it when you do  Did you have it hot or cold? Did you have a bit of sauce on the side? My mouth is watering lol. I shall have to make do with a muller and strawberries...not really the same  lol.
