I just weighed in and have a 2lb loss :j:j:j

I spent some time over on the Pig2Twig forum and one of the admins suggested I was drinking too much water and retaining a lot of it, so I've cut down to 3L a day.
Whatever has caused it I'm very pleased to have a loss finally, but its the 2lb I had put back on over the last 4 weeks so I do feel like I'm only back where I started:( but a loss is a loss right?:o

Have you tried cutting it out altogether? Just to see if it makes a difference.

I don't drink any at all on it's own. All my water comes from the beverages I drink and food I eat but, apart from a week long stall, I am losing weight steadily.

So what do you drink? Obviously most fizzy crap is out and I don't really enjoy it much anyway. Is squash allowed? Tho I'm not big on that either. I drink quite a lot of water as I have a job which means I work in other peoples homes, many of them elderly, so its usually pretty hot indoors. I'm pretty much constantly thirsty.

I only drink tea and decaffeinated coffee. However, I'm not generally in a hot environment. If you are thirsty then it makes sense to drink water.

I do drink water in hot climates but probably no more than a litre or so a day, if that.
  • Well today I am making some sort of lasagne...! I am dubious that aubergine will taste like pasta sheets and I am equally dubious that I can make some sort of roux without flour, but nothing ventured nothing gained. I have made a leek mornay that is simply double cream and cheese but on top of a lasagne it just seems a little unhealthy. Any other suggestions ladies and gents?

Drat. Did a post but lost it.

    5 lbs loss this week
    :j

Yesterday was okay, but 'bitty' - kept nibbling on stuff, though mostly ok stuff so not too bad..

    B: Usual: frankies (1.4g)

    L: usual: p/cocktail (~4g)
T: fried turkey, green beans, cabbage, mushrooms, chillies. Yum. (~5g?)

O: Tea, coffee, 3-4 pts water/green tea/lemon, peperami, cheese, cheese crisp, handful of Brazils, bit of dark (85%) choc.. (~4g?)

    Total carbs: ~15g..?

Exercise: Dog walk with boys (inc. ~5 mins interval training), 10 mins.
Cardio, 8 mins Zumba, ~25 mins. Yoga (I was instructor lol).

Melted some dark choc and dipped Brazils in it.. (Thanks Mazzers) think I heated it too much: it was keen to dry up quick.. ended up with strange looking, spikey blobs, but OH and I liked them
    :)

Must try that minute muffin Minihauk. Seen it before I think, but not much of a cook. I'd like to be, but small kitchen and less-than-impressive array of utensils doesn't fill me with enthusiasm. Excuses, excuses.

Still haven't got a coffee/spice grinder.. don't want to pay much as it probably won't get used that much, and every time I look for one I can't decide which to get. Nearly went for a Hinari 'Genie' which is like a copy of your Magic Bullet Mazz, but some bad reviews put me off. Might have a go at a cheap/used one from ebay...

Threw away a box of linseeds a couple of months ago that I hadn't used, since it was well past it's use by... If I'd known that it doesn't really matter till you grind them I probably would have kept it.

Must try those fishcakes barmaid. Yumm!

There's a real postitive feel around here atm. Well done everyone!

Get you Hannoja! Awesome loss for the week, you have inspired me to try and go for it this weekend too! I am thinking about a yoga or pilates class myself, is there much difference and what should I look for in a good instructor? Need to tighten my core after having my baby 12 months ago (blushing that I am not in shape yet!).

Got a tasty mush, smoked bacon and leek soup on the go for lunch. Must must must get a few more low carb soup recipes under my belt.

    Hi All,

I may or may not have joined you at some point in the last few years...but I'm lc'ing again and so far so good - can I join in?

Started Monday and really enjoying my meals at the mo - I've written a plan for the week as it helps sooooo much to be prepared!

I did cheesey leeks the other day - poached some fish in it too and added mushrooms, was totally amazing. I'm just needing something a little sweet to finish my meals..

    Today is
B: 2 x chipolatas, fried mushrooms, fried egg.
L: Salmon, couple baby plum tomatoes, cucumber and orange pepper with mayo
D: HM burger with bacon, cheese and some sort of veg.

I have SF jelly ready but it just not the same as a chocolate mousse.

I'm on Day 4 and scales are showing 3lb loss. Need that motivation at the moment - I've got about 4 stone to lose - most of which I've put on it about 18 months!!! V annoyed with myself (comfort eating) and sometimes think whats the point I might as well eat all that chocolate cos I'm never gonna lose it, which is why its only 6 weeks to my holiday and I've lost nothing.

Been reading all your posts on my phone and am very much inspired - thank you!!
Really should be doing some work...
