i love nearly all fruit and veg but rarely have fruit now, except today
been to c0stc0 with the DD's and they coerced me into getting strawberries , grapes and pineapple, so when i came in i had a bowl of thick greek yoghurt, 1 huge strawberry , 3 grapes and a small piece of pineapple and it was delish
also bought , a cooked chicken , cooked streaky bacon , 1kg of chedder,
picked up several packets of pork scratchings from jtf too
c0stc0 had a big bag of almonds ( 1.325kg i think) for £6.99 i was going to get them but wondered if the grinder i have on my kenwood is up to turning them into flour - might try a small bag first0 -

shes back with the news of another stall (two weeks now) ive decided to go cold turkey on the sweets. Theres non in the house and whats not in the house I cannot eat - right!
Shame DD doesnt fancy stalling her screaming even for a short bit. Im sure she does it while asleep poor thing. Shes got a paed appt next month so hopefully they can increase her meds again.
I know weve mentioned in the past that cheese can stall people. Does anyone know why this is? I dodnt think im ready to give up my 2 best things yet. Also is it worth looking at my calories now. To generalise ive got a stone to loose and in my perfect world. 1.5 stones. However im 9 stone 12 now and 5 foot 3. So in my Drs eyes (and im sure she hated saying it im) no longer over weight. However if you could see my spare tyre you wouldnt think so. I am drinking plentyMad Mum to 3 wonderful children, 2 foster kittens and 2 big fat cats that never made it to a new home!
Aiming to loose 56 pounds this year. Total to date 44.5 pounds 12.5 to go. Slimming World Rocks!0 -
I am practicing lunches that I can have and today I made tuna, cauli, cheese, onion and egg fishcakes that were blooming scrumptious!
Please please can I have your recipe? I can offer up a bacon and cheese fritatta!Gloomendoom wrote: »I weighed myself this morning and I've now lost just over a stone in total.
Well done on the weight loss!
I'm having a good day, avoided biscuit temptation when I visited a friend for coffee! I do however feel I'm having 'meat sweats'! LOL I am craving fruit but I remember last time this passed quickly.0 -
Wow, it's busy in here today - that is great.
Well done on the weigh loss Sheila and Doomengloom, keep up the good work.:T
I haven't felt hungry at all today and had to force myself to eat. Went to the dentist and hygienist today. Hygienist said my mouth was dry and was I drinking enough - if I drank much more I would float, lol, but I guess the lc soaks up the fluids ? I do often feel thirsty, but must be drinking 3-4 litres a day, does that sound too little?
Just off to make some mushroom soup for tomorrow's lunch (is it ok to have veg that way instead of raw?)
Sistercas, I love fruit too, but it plays havoc with my arthritis, so I don't mind not eating it if I don't get so much inflammation.
Mazzers - that spread looks amazing. Want a job as a cook??0 -
Hi all, well done to the losers
Had a good couple of days, preparation is def the key to success
Bacon and egg for breakfast
Aldi chick breast (yum) and salad for lunch
Soup and my [STRIKE]brick [/STRIKE] failed bread for tea
Had a piece of mex fudge and small piece of strawberry cake covered in cream with my cuppa just now.
Looking forward to a cheeseburger with a real bun (lc) tomorrow.
Wont even bother with the bread maker next time i make rolls, it's really easy and quick by hand.
The soup is lovely, it's just half a boiled onion and some cabbage, stalk and all, and roast butternut, cooked in a lamb stock cube.. i did chuck in a few celery leaves which gives it a slight aniseedy taste.. very nice0 -
The strawberry cake looks very impressive, i will try it oven baked next time as the micro cooks a bit unevenly, will also add some sweetener to the mix.
Sheilas link has a lovely looking luxury lc nut cake that i am going to make to take to work for when everyone else is scoffing chocs in the canteen.0 -
Well been out all day, and somehow managed to be good. Funeral this morning, several hours at a pub, followed by a restaurant. Eating and drinking all around, but I didn't eat a thing after my breakfast frankfurters till around 3pm. Even then it was just a few little bites of chicken and bacon and lettuce from my boys' sandwiches. I did have a gin and tonic.
I chose to go for the 'eat as much as you like' curry buffet at the restaurant. I just ate about 4 different types of curry, and mainly stuck with the lumps of chicken/meat. Had three helpings of 'curry lumps' washed down with what felt like about 5 gallons of diet coke.. thought I was going to burst. (It was one of those 'bottomless' ones)
The hardest part was watching everyone else devouring chocolate profiterols/ice cream/fudge cake desserts.. especially when some was left over...!
A couple of people noticed I'd lost weight which was nice0 -

Hi
You are really good, trying all the different recipes. You'll have to be chief cook and taster!!
Seriously though, please let me know if they are worth making as I'm not as industrious as you but would do it if it tasted good.
Thanks0 -

Sorry about the funeral but isn't it good when people see you after a while and notice that you are slimmer. Well done :beer:0
