Well, Im under the impression it will be cheap white plonk and cheap red plonk on the go, so I can have the red? I am skint this month so drinking the free stuff is preferable :rotfl: Oooh champagne is lovely, I think someone is bringing a soda stream, with the notion that putting wine through it will make it "champagne" Hahaha....
My lunch turned out to be a pepperami, some nuts, and a cheesestring.....I have the worst TOTM cramps today and a MEGA sore back, so I cant be bothered standing and cooking. Will have sausages and grilled veg for dinner though......0 -
Hi everyone, mind if I join?
I've been LCing for nearly 2 weeks and lost about 5lbs so farStarting to feel much better too, sleeping better, more energy... all in all just quite 'well' so I'm happy about that!
I've been logging my food and exercise on My Fitness Pal to keep track of my carbs but I've got a couple of questions if anyone can help? Some days I come in under 1200 calories even though I'm eating loads (Eggs and bacon for breakfast, some sort of meat and cheese at lunch, big dinner with meat and veggies), do I need to worry about not getting enough calories? Especially as I usually earn about 300 more calories a day through exercise? I know we can have plenty fat, but what is a 'healthy' amount to be eating every day? I don't like the red numbers on the screen when I put it all in and it says I'm having too much fat and protein!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -

All that fat and protein can't be bad for you, if you have more energy/sleeping better AND losing weight0 -

That type of site is programmed along government, so-called, healthy eating guidelines, which, if followed correctly, will continue to make people fatter and fatter. It is def. the carbs you need to watch.
You are right to question if 1200 calories is enough and when you are eating rich food it is quite difficult to feel hungry. It needs to be looked at on a weekly basis, rather than daily, and on your personal requirements.
Are you making the most of your fat? (I know it's a strange thing to say!) Frying in butter and adding cream to sauces? Having cream in coffee? Personally, from what you have said, I would introduce veg to meals during the day, not just at night, and have something snacky during the day if the calories are continually low.0 -
Mojisola - i am trying, i have cut down his potatoes and he only has bread if he is going into the office otherwise its salad at home. but i think he needs to cut back further on the carbs but he wont. he really did struggle last time but he now NEEDS to lose the weight.
buttonmoons - i would drink the red (or white if its dry). but i dont think i could ever cut out wine even if i wanted to. only having it on weekend is bad enough!!!! :rotfl:
Birdie - you need to eat fat. i am sure i read that it is the fat that keeps you full longer and gives you energy as you have to burn something rather than the carbs for energy.
still not decided what to have with my cauli. gonna be mince again i think as that is in fridge and doesnt need defrosting! will look like a cow soon (hubby would say i already do!!!! :rotfl:)0 -

Not managed to update today, so a quick note for yesterday's 'doings'
B: Usual: couple frankies with red
L: Usual: prawn cocktail, lettuce, chilli flakes
T: Half? cooked chicken from Mr T (~reduced). Thhlrrrp!
O: 2 Cups of decaf. T with u/s soya, 1 cup decaf. coffee/cream/sweetener, 5 pints of water.
Exercise: Doggie chops walk, an hour's Wii fit.
Note: Having the water warm-hot with a dash of lemon makes it go down a lot easier: can almost convince myself I'm drinking a cup of tea
Someone mentioned sleeping: I think I'm getting a much better quality of sleep of late. I almost thought I wasn't dreaming for a long time, but lately I'm having vivid dreams. I think that has something to do with the extra exercise more than the lcing: seems to have happened since I introduced 20-30 mins. aerobic exercise each (week)day... :think:0 -
Evening everyone.
Buttonmoon, I'm so sorry that you are heartbroken. You will in time see that you are better off without them. Use it as motivation to do with your life what ever you want to. Set your wildest dream as a goal and aim to achieve it. Every time you are feeling hurt of tearful make yourself take a step towards that goal. Baby steps will help you move forward. So say for instance you want to become a midwife, if you get upset go online and start to research courses, funding for courses etc. It will help focus your mind and your goal will start to overtake the hurt x
If that doesn't suit you then feel free to just come on and call him to us lot:D
Hannoja- I just adapt normal recipes that we used to enjoy & I love to experiment.
Debt monkey- Great post! Well done getting over your stall & getting to gym. Saved me telling you off:p
Nuttybabe- Who does the shopping? I would just refuse to buy carbs, sweets etc any more. If he wants them then make him buy/pay for them him self. But be sure to let him know that is because you love him & are concerned for him x
Had a great day today, boss gave me a bottle of vodka. He knows me so well:rotfl:Life is short, smile while you still have teeth0 -
Egg fried cauli rice.
Grate a raw cauliflower, I do it in the food processor as I am lazy:D
Heat a pan very hot, stirfry heat with a knob of butter. Pour in 2 beaten eggs and stir round for 1 minute. Add the cauliflower rice and stir for 5 minutes. Do not over cook as it will then not have the texture of rice. It is a great rice substitute. Works perfect in kedgeree recipes.Life is short, smile while you still have teeth0 -
Took a dulcolax last night and it had the desired effect first thing this morning. Thank goodness!! (Sorry if that's TMI
). To celebrate I'm having 2 of those little cans of ready mixed G&T (slimline of course).
I went into town earlier on the train, its about 15 miles from home to any sort of proper shopping facilities and I don't drive, and was browsing the shops and only came home with some socks and a couple of cheap t-shirts for work, I was picking up nice things then putting them down thinking "it'll be hanging off me by Easter". Its a good feeling
Despite not seeming to have lost lbs I must have lost inches as my jeans are certainly looser and more comfy. They had been digging in since my December pig-out.
B: 2 cold sausages dipped in mayo
L: 2 celery sticks and heaps of Philly, 45g lump of GoudaSmoked Haddock Rarebit (ready meal from Asda, about 10g carbs in total) and buttery cabbage. Very nice.
Loads of water and 4 cups decaff coffee with cream.
I'm finding that I miss having a cup of tea. I don't like cream in my tea, and I can't take to soya milk. Anyone got any other suggestions?0
