watched the beginning of 'obese - a year to save my life ' this poor woman was 34 stone , showed her struggling to have a shower and her little daughter having to wash her
how sad . i havent seen the end so im hoping whatever she did worked . cant imagine how that must affect your life being so overweight
made my resolve a little stronger to keep to lc0 -
Thank you all for your replies and suggestions.
I'm definitely eating less this week than I did last week so I'll try to up it (never said that on a diet before!!).
Yesterday was B: 4x grilled bacon, L:2x roast chicken thighs (without the skin) and mayonnaise,3x sausages (97% from Asda) and a serving spoon of cauliflower cheese. No snacks, but loads of water.
Today, B: 2x bacon and a fried egg, L: 2 celery sticks and almost half a tub of Philadelphia, chicken korma (onion, chicken, mild curry powder, double cream and desiccated coconut) with salad leaves.
It wasn't till I wrote this that I realised I had no greens yesterday but I had 2 large salads the day before. If nothing has happened by tomorrow evening I'll take a Dulcolax, I've got Thursday off :rotfl::eek:
I'm not sure I'm getting the fat/protein ratio right??0 -
Ooh, woke up on the floor  in the lounge last night and thought it might be a good idea to go to bed.. :rotfl:Went in the kitchen and had a mouthful of semi-skimmed milk.. very nearly had a scone too!!
but resisted!
Why was I on the floor..? Well I'm often not all that comfy on the sofa, so I'd decided to watch TV whilst doing a couple of restorative Yoga poses.. They were so nice and relaxing that I fell asleep
Did well yesterday:
B: 2 chilli frankfurters with sauce
L: Prawn cocktail: lots of lettuce and chilli flakesA lamb-stew thing which I'd made in the slow cooker: lamb mince, a couple of lamb steaks, mushrooms, an aubergine (chopped: goes a long way! strange vegetable..), strange selection of herbs and spices for a change (e.g. cloves lol), and a little gravy powder. Was nice. I put some potatoes in the boys'.
Other: Couple of cups of decaf T with unsweetened Alpro soya milk, cup of coffee with a sweetener and d/cream, ~4 pints of water..
Exercise: Walk with chops, half hour Latinasize, hour Callanetics, 'the magic 10', couple of Yoga poses.
OH says I'm looking good, but trousers aren't feeling much different.. Wii fit today, so that'll tell me if I've lost anything... Regardless, I'm feeling better, and I've definitely got more of a spring in my step, so must keep on!
Happy day peeps0 -
Hiya
I have lost 2lbs already, i know just water but at least i am not feeling bloated now :j
today i am having
b- omelette
l-spicy mince thing with green beans (sauce for it was very high carb but i got fed up of seeing it in cupboard and no one else eats spicy here)
t-chicken fajitas and salad (i will have lettue as my wrap)
snacks 1 tablespoon of peanut butter, ham, cheese
hubby not working from home today so i refuse to put heating on. keeping warm by cleaning and running up and down stairs putting stuff away. thats my exercise for the day! :rotfl:
Richj - i lost a few stone of slimming world then i stopped. i cant do portion control. i used to eat bucketfulls of pasta as it was free food so obviously i didnt lose weight. well done to you and your wife losing so much.
hannoja - i wouldnt be able to get up again if i slept on the floor. bad enough when i am sat on the floor playing with kids i struggle!0 -
Been MIA for a few weeks, went away over xmas then got a horror of a cold (still coughing ) but back lcing for the last couple of weeks. I did ease up and enjoy myself over xmas and new year, allowing 7lb gain (it was actually more like 10 ahem) but I am back within 3/4 of a pound of my lowest before xmas :j now to achieve next goal.....
I started to use flaxseed in the last couple of weeks too, and low carb granola (lizis on lowcarbmegastore...its awesome) neither seem to have stalled me which I am really pleased about as neither had been in my lc diet before. Last week I made a lc breading for pork steaks with the flaxseed, pork scratchings, parmesan, and 3 ryvita crackerbreads, garlic salt and black pepper, whizzed it into a breadcrumb texture, added a few whole flaxseeds for more texture and crunch, breaded the pork as normal and fried in butter, it was a damn good substitute for breadcrumbs as I really missed breaded food. Even OH found it acceptable and he is [STRIKE][STRIKE]picky as hell[STRIKE][/STRIKE] [/STRIKE][/STRIKE] always wanting it just so
Anyway, nuff of my ramblings, have a good day everyoneLet's get ready to bumble! :rotfl:0 -
Evening every-one
Welcome back Nuttybabe & Smeeinnit
Honnoja, well done for resisting the scone but lol at you asleep on the floor:rotfl:
We had full sc Madras chicken for tea served with egg fried cauli rice
Going to use the remaining sauce tomorrow with lamb meatballs over cabbage noodles.
Sunnyday, I tried frozen cauli for mash last night & it was great. Thankyou, we'll save a fortune as the caulis are so pricey right now :A
I'll shut up now as I still have loads of work to do, hope everyone is doing well xLife is short, smile while you still have teeth0 -
Hi all!
Last year (oct - dec) I weighed myself at work about 1ce a week. Stayed the same each time - I wasn't trying to lose anything just get an idea where I was. Then came xmas and I was a little piggy. Knew I'd put on some weight.
Weighed myself again at work on Monday and I am 1/2 a kilo lighter than pre-xmas!
That little victory has made it quite easy to stick to the straight and narrow this week.
I don't know how much I've lost but having been too scared to check before I now know I'm no worse off for my excesses. :j
I will continue to check once a week (I wait till the factory has gone on lunch) and see if I drop any more.

Well I was on a Yoga mat and had half the big, fat cushions off the sofa which helped
PP you're so inventive with the cooking. Several of you are. Inspirational
Well done Mercy! :T
According to my wii fit, I've lost 2 llbs since last Wed. and my wii fit age has dropped to well below my age! (whereas it was well above when I first got on it!)0 -
Amazingly, I've dropped almost 4lbs since I started on Monday, I know its water and carb storage going though but still, its good to see completely diffo KG's on the scales
Not been eating much though, as Im what you'd call "heartbroken" and have been since last year, but I proper can't get over it, such a stupid loser I am
Anyways today I had
B - Pepperami
L - Pack of salty peanuts
D - Mushroom and chicken curry with cauliflower
I ate about half my dinner, honestly couldn't be bothered eating anymore and put it in the bin. I usually clear everything on my plate + DD's........either its working or Im hitting an all time low. Hah....0 -
Buttonmoons
Don't knock the weight loss, it's good and a symptom of change :j
I've been heartbroken and it sucks.
Keep LCing! You probably didn't eat everything because you were full
Much love
