Hi all, late again, fell asleep on sofa earlier.

Been out for a few stellas so not very lc, was a bit tiddly making dinner so it was just chicken, mashed potatoes, peas and gravy :o

Got a raging thirst now, early hangover :D

Ah well, doesn't happen often :)

Right.. bed, loads to do tomorrow.

:T to everyone who is sticking to plan.. well done.
• Checking in...! Ok..weight loss now approx 7 pounds..1/2 stone! This is in TEN days...so pretty pleased with that as I was initially aiming at 25-30 carbs a day but as i got the fibre bit wrong (d'oh!) it was probably about 35-36 gms a day. Last 3-4 days been aiming at 20 give or take 2.

Making some flax bread this am (you know the one...eggs, oil, etc)-made it before-delicious. Toasted it's nice-although you do have to push toaster down 3 times (!).

My knee problem has NEARLY sorted itself so will call GP & ok it to go back to gym tomorrow.

Yesterday had a curry...my favourite! Lamb special (done with cream & is ultra hot & sweet). Did ask the guy over the phone not to add sugar but they did anyway. Guess it's around 1 teapoon heaped (7g) added (my taste buds guess)...also had 3/4 chapatti (16 odd carbs) & loadsa Lidl full fat youghurt-so would gusee yesterday was 35 ish....Not gonna deny myself 'a bit' of bread-so long as I'm aware of carbs.

Net result is + 0.7 kg on scales. Not too fussed as...ahem...usually my weigh ins are after a number 2 (!)..(sorry-too much info!) & I know after a big curry (& had seek kebabs too!) there is usually a lter trip to the loo...& also must have had 3 pints of water during the night due to some lovely bourbon whisky consumtion & that annoying dehydrated effect you get from curries!

Am aiming at trying to get my '5 a day' too-& keeping it under 22 carbs a day. Bet I can do it! Will post it when done...so this shows that although carbs cut you're still getting your 5 a day!

Also...got into a 34 inch pair of jeans yesterday-a 'tad' tight but 10 days ago-no chance!

other 1/2 is trying LC for 5 days-she calorie counts & splurges at weekend. Reasonable success overall but slow.

Can't wait for the gluten flour-make some proper bread.

Am gonna phone Tescos to see if they'll order me the 6 carb a slice 7 seed Irwin bread...will let you know how it goes!

So overall my MALE summery of LC so far....GREAT! been having some booze (although only neat spirits-detox now until next week-wonder how fast weight will drop with NO booze!)...never hungry...don't crave anything...still eating fruit (but being carefull) & LC veg-FAB FAB FAB!

Pouring down here, dont matter tho as i've got simply loads to do, woke at 5am thinking about where to start *rolls eyes* made myself go back to sleep tho.
The white walls really show up the discoloured architraves and radiator in the hall so i'm glossing them first, then clear out bedroom for son number 1 who arrives Fri.
Got piles and piles of ironing which will have to be done tonight while i'm watching tv, and there's also the usual cleaning that needs doing on a Mon after the weekend :(

Got two hours in work first tho.

Cant wait for xmas to relax a bit.. phew

Debtmonkey, try the butter chicken recipe on youtube by videojug, you could always make it hotter and even use lamb, it's lc and is lovely :)

Where is everyone?

I am so pooped.

Glossing done, bedroom gleaming (was full of son no 3's uni junk) chores sorted, just the ironing now if i can be @rsed.. maybe Wed on my day off ;)

Got lots of reduced fresh whole fish so son no 2 is cleaning/gutting them, might just foil bake them with cherry toms, herbs and onions :)

Mazzer your home must be like a show house with that much house work & decorating.
What type of fish was it? I love fish.:T

Adelight, hope your oh is home safe soon.

Dinner was yummy, could of eaten it twice.:o

Our weight loss continues & I really think we need to increase our carbs but are scared to do so.:(

Nope, still a mess :(

Sardines, sea bass and red gurnet.. sad to say, except for the sea bass were full of fine bones, like bl00dy hairs they were, 'fraid they'd stick in our throat. I think i may have gone off fish a bit.

Adelight, hope your oh is home safe soon.
Me too.

adelight - hope OH is safely home by now. Lucky you with that salmon - I'm wondering what you ordered in the first place to get that substitution!!!
Don't want to rant but mood is not great to-day - I am the new (10 years) sister - in -law and the others are all established best friends etc etc - I've lost almost 2 stone and wore my size 10 jeans etc out last night and they never mentioned I had lost weight - ~I mean the last time I saw them i was size 18!!!!! My OH puts it all down to jealousy - as we have the lifestyle they all crave - but that's because we don't feel the need to impress others - we don't go out at weekends etc etc - I can make a cauliflower and cabbage go a long way -but we do a fair bit of travelling about - all cheap flights etc etc while they will not stay in anything other than 5 star luxury and always keeping up with the Jones' - Could go on and on and on but that would be off thread and it would only sound petty but believe me there is a long list and all pretty horrible-I've went thro' a lot worse and it's not life threatening and apart from them, everything in my life is good and I'm usually able to rise above it and air kiss and smile etc etc- and I will again to-morrow - anyway feeling bit down and at the end of my tether trying to fit in- I always have a get together at my house every New Year's Eve (just neighbours who are on their own and my other elderly neighbours and of course the dreaded sister-in-laws and their husbands ) and guess who def won't be invited this year for the first time in 10 years -sod them!!!! Apologies and rant over!
On the lc front I had steak to-day with cabbage and cauli. No loss and no gain on the scales. Just had lc bread with stilton.

Beanrua, like you said.. rise above it :)

I'm a fine one talking mind :D

Def dont invite them New Years Eve, who needs people like that around!
Altho, you could always invite them and wiggle your size 10 @ss in their jealous faces :):D

Off to land of nod now if i get any peace from the noisy b@st@rds next door.
• A ridiculously early Good Morning all :o

Stoopid shoulder woke me up at 1.30 am - seriously peed off with it :(

mazzers, I hate bony fish _pale_ Hubby had some Arbroath Smokies a while back & he put me off trying them as he said they were full of bones.
Hope you managed to get some sleep - were the neighbours having a party or something??

adelight, hope OH managed to get home safe, the AA are usually pretty good.

pp, can you just add one carby thing at a time & see how you go??

beanrua, no need to apologise to us for your rant - your SILs just sound jealous & petty. To get to a size 10 from an 18 is amazing so well done you :T

Right, think I might head back to bed...
