Do you only have a bit to lose??
Are you pooing??
Are you following a specific plan or just general low-carbing??
Portion sizes??
Drinking enough water??
Atkins ratios so <20g carbs and 65% cals from fat, I log everything to keep an eye on how much I'm eating. Portion sizes are fine, I log throughout the day so if lunch is big I make dinner small.
Drinking boat loads of water :rotfl:
I am looking up things that can "stall" you and not enough fat can and cheese can and I eat a lot of cheese. I snack on cheese, add it to everything to get cals up and eat it if I get up late for brekfast and I use cream in food to get my fat upSo maybe I need to stop that for a while. Has anyone been "stalled" by particular foods? Cheese?
ETA: just checked calorie count and I didn't add in dark choc 2 days as it was after dinner, added in and I had 29g & 34g two days this week. Bet that's done it!! Knew dark choco would be my downfall, but still so many people get away with 40-50g carbsLiving cheap in central London :rotfl:0 -
Adelight - Don`t forget that you will be slowly building muscle as you excersise which weighs more than fat so so you could be losing weight and not realising it.
Are you eating enough?
On days when i`m not i don`t lose as it seems that i need to keep my metabolism ticking over - think Mazzers is the same too.
I`d cut down a bit on the cheese but not altogether and maybe ease back on the water too. Such a small amount of dark choccy shouldn`t really matter, when i`m dieting strictly i can eat far more than a couple of squares and still lose.
My slight bloatiness has gone now and i feel more normalNot got around to breakfast yet as had some friends round, i need food!!!
SDPlanning on starting the GC again soon0 -
Muscle doesn't build very fast though so I don't think it's that
I think it must be those two days with too much choc and too much cheese.
I've stopped moping about it and decided I will stop the dark choc and cut down my cheese until xmas day (day- two days off wahooo!) and see if it helps. I've just done some bodyrock workouts and feeling positive and sore againThey are posting 1 new workout a day until xmas day and having a different one everyday will encourage me to keep exercising!
Sorry for being such a mardy !!!!
mazzers the gluten just came, i didn't realise what it was at first and was about to google "what does anthrax look like" when i remembered :rotfl:Living cheap in central London :rotfl:0 -
Drinking boat loads of water :rotfl:
Ahh, are you the one that drinks litres of water every day?! You must be waterlogged then, that'll be it!! :rotfl:
I eat a fair bit of cheese when I'm LCing, doesn't stall me. I can't think of any LC food that does stall me tbh  Maybe if I overdo it with the choccie?? I prefer 70% though which is higher carb.0 -
Evening
Mazzers I have just had dinner but your pics make me want to eat again, yummy
Adelight, I would keep to 20g of cheese max a day until your weight loss starts to increase. Keep cooked meats to hand & boiled eggs for now.
Sunnyday- Any chance of the recipie for the pork pie?
We had gammon & egg with hm sauce for dinner. The sauce was the stock from the gammon, with onion, garlic & some sorry veg reduced with a touch of cream & ground pepper. Very nice.
Had a stressful day so washing it down with a southern comfort:beer:
Just done our meal plan for the week, I can post if any one wants.
Please would people post there's alsoLife is short, smile while you still have teeth0 -
pink princess i would love to see
i don't have a rigid meal plan but i have planned for sun-fri:
me and oh are having mini-christmas with a duck roast one day, salmon another, sardines another, leftover duck 2 days. all with broccoli/sprouts/kale.
eggs and kippers for breakfasts, also making some bread :j
lunches will be tongue, herring milts, lettuce, peppers, leftovers
i've also made 1lb of almond butter today. some will stay plain but some will be flavoured with cocoa powder, vanilla and a little sweetener.
quite luxurious with the meats (well ofc they were on offer too lol) but i know i won't get bored/cheat if it's my favourite foods.Living cheap in central London :rotfl:0 -
Friday- Gammon & egg with garlic mushrooms
Saturday- Pork & cabbage spicy stir fry
Sunday- Full madras chicken served with broccolli
Monday- Sausage & red onion omlette
Tuesday- Cottage pie but with cauliflower mash not potato
Wednesday- Salami topped,Cheese base pizza served with salad
Thursday- Steak with broccoli & cauliflower cheese.
I have a really busy week so these are all quick with the exception of Sunday & Tuesday. I'm of Sunday & will prepare Tuesday's dinner then also.
Breakfast will be bacon, eggs or flax muffins.
Lunch will be leftovers or salad.
Snacks will be berries & cream, cheese, pepperoni, or porky scratchings
I don't feel in control of our food if we don't meal plan. I did this when we ate high carb as well.:o
Your plan sounds lovely, I want duck nowLife is short, smile while you still have teeth0 -
Flying visit....thanks again for all the recipes...etc...gluten flour on the way!!!!!!! Found some yummy full fat Greek Yoghurt in lidl.....£1-50 a kg (BIG)...2.3 carbs per 100 gm..superb to have with a small handfull of raspberries...etc...
Also noticed Lidle are doing quite big packs of cheap boneless pork for £2-50...if my freezer wasn't full I'd deffo stock up for my strogonoff!!!!
Ran out of Bacon/Eggs this am so had 1/2 pot of cottage cheese with chilli powder & 1 red pepper chopped in....very nice. Strangely not hungry at lunch but did have 2 packs beef jerky & 1 pack pork crackling (very bad!). Also just had some frozen raspberries (only 100g) & splenda....yum yum-sweet tasting! Takes me to around 20 carbs. Funny...NEVER had any constipation, feeling tired, 'flu' at all. In fact during the day NO tiredness at all. Just downloading (I know its naughty) the new Inbetweeners film...can't wait to see it. As a male who used to be a rep in Malia, Crete there's not much that will shock me (!).have a good evening all!0 -

pp I always love to see your meal plans.
Forward planning is essential I think for low carbing. Than you are never caught on the hop. Most of your recipes pp I can substitute veggie options so will make use of it - thanks. I'll have a crowd here next week so def the veggie mince and cauli - most people don't know the difference between veggie mince and real mince and I can use chicken fillet substitutes - taste good with creamy sauces etc.
Not a great week for weight loss - up and down but mostly ups.
Trying to get house organised for family arriving and berating myself for letting it get so out of hand and promising it won't happen again - same old story.
Wish I had got off my b....side and done some painting - but I've sorted out low lighting and it is starting to look ok in the dark!!!
Went for an Indian meal last night and got prawn jaflong? and instead of rice or chips I got a bowl of steamed vegs - they were delicious - so I think I stayed as lc as I could. I love this thread and all the tips/ ideas and support - just want to say a big thank you to each and everyone of you -THANK YOU:T:T:T:T:TTreat the Earth well,It was not given to you by your parents,It was loaned to you by your children.Masai proverb0
