The recipes are all on the first page under 'mercys recipe list'

Debtmonkey. i usually lose around 7lbs the first week, i do have about 4 stone to lose tho

I have been moseying through photobucket for the pics and this is the first bread i made, it had to be kneaded which was a nuisance but was very much like real bread..
I think i will stick to the breadmaker!
Sorry about the crappy pic it was from my old mobile.

Morning all...thanks for the replies! Well....back now to 5 pounds lost (which as in real terms I need to lose 2 stone to get just into correct BMI -I'm pleased with-but really want to be 11st) which I'm well happy with (scale was flickering beteen 13 st 9 & 13st 11...so maybe nearer to 13st 10??!). Carbs yesterday-around 20 ish. Had 2 chips (!) from g/f's cheesy chips & sausage (!) & 3 frazzles from her crisp packet (I'd guess 3-4 carb ttl).

My knee is much better-REALLY REALLY want to get back to gym & do some cardio & weights.

I must say I've not had any 'god I'm tired' feelings during this at all...guess the carbs may have something to do with this???

Thanks for all the recipes! Will get my ar*e in gear & get some gluten flour. Might even do some extensive googling to see if any shops sell it in Leeds-a 35 minute drive for me.

I don't think I've eaten more healthily for ages!!!

So...once the bread is sussed & pizza is made (will try it with the cauli base & the bread base!)...all will be good I hope.

Had a really different breakfast yesterday-probably in some eyes high carbish for a single meal (8 1/2 carbs) but health & nice. 4 cherry tomatos (80gm-so 1 of the 5 a day!)...drizzled in olive oil & herbs..1 poached egg microwaved...1 rasher of bacon microwed till slightly crisp...150g (1/2 tub) cottage cheese with herbs, salt pepper & chilli put in-felt very virtuos with the tomatos!!

Without sounding cliched low carb is EASY but ONLY IF you plan the meals & completely understand re: carb count etc...Have a good day all!

P.S._Losing weight & STILL having the odd vodka or 6 (!)-how good is that!

    Morning Peeps

we ended up in the pub last night for tea, never eaten in this particular one before and wasn`t sure what to have without spending a fortune so in the end went for chicken New Yorker which was two chicken breasts wrapped in bacon and smothered in melted cheese. It came with chips peas and half a tomato - i gave the tom to DH and ate about 5 chips and two forkfulls of peas. The really only bad thing that i did was to eat some onion rings and drink 3 pints of guinness :p

Feel a little bloated this morning but not bad and i`ve put one pound on according to the scales, actually i`ve only put 2lb on the whole time i`ve been on holiday so really its so far so good i think :D

Debtmonkey the cheapest place that we have found to buy the vital wheat gluten is here Postage is a bit steep but its quite heavy.

My last order was delivered yesterday and i ordered 4.5 kilos, i still have 1.5 kilos left from the last order but i need to make sure that i don`t run out. It does go quite a long way.

Brekkie today will be pate on toast and dinner will be scrambled eggs and mushroms. Tea will be the lincolnshire sausages that we were supposed to have yesterday. I`ll probably just do them with some veg as some of that needs using up too.

I`m going to make a spaghetti bolognaise for tomorrows tea which i`ll have with courgette ribbons and i`m also going to make a pork pie :D

The HFW pork pie recipe is gorgeous and i plan to make a crustless one where i just cook the meat mixture in a loaf tin, i tried this as an experiment when i first started lcing and it was brilliant but very moreish :D

    Have good days everyone :D

    !

You do need to be organised, much easier to stick to if you have something pre cooked ready to heat up.

I love vodka, but cant understand how you can drink it neat _pale_

LOL i drink it neat, once you`ve done this you start to appreciate the taste a lot more and also notice just how different in taste all the brands are.

My favourite is A$da triple distilled vodka and its gorgeous :D

  • Morning :)

I have a bottle of Smirnoff in the cupboard - bought for my Sister's birthday but I forgot she's going to be 50  so will have to get a better pressie for her. Looks like the vodka is mine then ;)

I've got the beginnings of the lurgy :( Combined with the sore shoulder I'm feeling pretty sh*te :o so I decided to finish off a bottle of Baileys last night. I thought there was about 1 & a half glasses worth but it turned out to be 3 :o Curse those bottles where you can't see what's left!! :rotfl:

mazzers, did you have the asparagus soup yesterday?? I didn't have my courgette & gruyere as I had a better offer  Will have it today though.

Right, back to the Boots website to see if I can get this Soap & Glory wotsit, been trying for an hour so far...

Morning everyone. I'm getting really fed up now, been three weeks and I've not even lost 2kg! People normally lose that in water weight in the first few days! I have 15-20g carbs except the odd day when it's 25-30, don't eat too many or too few cals and I exercise a bit, but nothing's changing  I do wonder why i'm bothering, I could just eat what I like and stay the same weight!!
I don't want to just give up after only three weeks though, I will stick it out for at least six. I just do not understand why it wouldn't be working for me :(

    mazzers that pizza looks delicious
Living cheap in central London :rotfl:
  • adelight, I don't know why it's not working for you either

Do you only have a bit to lose??
    Are you pooing :o??
Are you following a specific plan or just general low-carbing??
    Portion sizes??
    Drinking enough water??
