I found that around 40g i still had cravings for carbs and sweet stuff, after three days on 20ish they disappeared completely. How are you doing at that level?
I roughly follow the Atkins plan but not to the letter and find that my loss is better at that rate.
Everyone is different though so if the 40g doesn`t seem to have the desired effect after 4 or 5 days i would do a couple of weeks on 20g.
Atkins recommends starting off on 20 for the first two weeks to get rid of the cravings and this also manages to stop any hunger pangs too.
This is the only diet that i`ve ever tried where i don`t feel hungry at all:j
Breakfast today was two sausages and buttery scrambled eggs
Dinner was a ham sandwich on lc bread
Tea will be chicken and lc veg.
I had planned on having some 85% choccy later as a treat but i`ve run out and cba to go out again so i think that i`ll have a tiny voddie instead

Going to do at least this week on 20g also before we start increasing by 5g.
Which lc bread recipie do you use? We haven't had anything bread like since we started.Life is short, smile while you still have teeth0 -
This is the bread recipe that i use http://www.food.com/recipe/best-low-carb-bread-bread-machine-102631
I ended up buying the measuring cups to make it as the metric conversion on the site had me in a right mess with it lol. I also only use just under a tablespoon of splenda as it tasted sweet when i first made it *gag*
I bought the vital wheat gluten online from here http://www.honest-to-goodness.org.uk/index.php/catalogsearch/result/?q=seitan&x=0&y=0
It works really well in the breadmaker on the rapid light crust setting and is as light as a feather.

Hi peeps
Kimberley - A huge well done to you :j:j:j:j Bet ya feel fantastic!!!
well i`m now officially one stone lighter :j it`s taken me exactly a month to lose it so i`m a happy bunny.
I can fasten all my trousers up once again and i don`t feel at all bloated. I`ve reintroduced the occasional carby veg - for instance i had carrots, cabbage and swede with my pork chop last night whereas before it was strictly no carrots.
I`ve not stopped the odd voddie or glass of wine and i know that its only Thursday but i`ve eaten 3 large bars of dark choccie this week:o:p
Can you tell where my weaknesses lie :rotfl:
I`m going to keep at it and try for another stonehopefully this time next month another one will have bitten the dust so fingers crossed
Hope that you`re all doing well - come back and post!

Hello Sunny, hanno & everyone else I don't know :hello:
What a lovely surprise to see this thread is still on the goI just popped in to have a look at the recipe thread as I started back on LC last week - currently on Phase One Day Eleven of the IPD
Sunny, muchos congratulations on losing a stone :j That's brilliant!! How have you found it this time?? I see you've been baking LC breadSounds yummy, wish I had a BM. I'm back on the GG crackers & still loving them with butter & cheese. Had them with butter & M&S pate yesterday & that was really nice too. I don't think I'm supposed to have them on IPD but I only have 2 a day at lunchtime (along with my trusty BNS soup) & I think I would really struggle with LC otherwise.
Anyway, I'm off to look through Mercy's recipe list. Happy LC days everyone, I'll pop in every now & then to see how you're all doing :wave:0 -

Woohoo!! Helloooo Sweet:wave:
nice to see another familiar faceWe need Mazzers and Alias and the others now
How`s DH & the family and is the extension finished?
Strangely enough i wasn`t going to post but i`d popped back to look at the recipe thread too :rotfl:
I`ve currently got some raspberries from the garden in a pan to make the base of Mercys bakewell tart
The lc bread is helping hugely as i can now just grab a sandwich when i`m pushed for time, i did try making some rolls with the same recipe but it didn`t work out too well. They were edible but didn`t rise once i`d seperated them so i`ve gone back to making the loaf, they were a one off for bonfire night so that i could join in with hotdogs etc. I don`t see why it wouldn`t work in the oven tbh but i`m lazy and use the bm:D
I`m off to have a look in my curry secret book to see if there`s anything quick that i can make for later to go with my grated cauli "rice"
I`m definitely going to see if i can lose another stone, i did have a half hearted try a while back but it just didn`t seem to work and i was cheating too much - this time i`m more determined and i`m trying to behave until Christmas:eek:
Wish me luck!
