Can I just ask what snickerdoodles are? :rotfl:

Southern scouser, I agreed with your post until about halfway through when I realised you'd not taken on board that we are low carbers :D.

We eat lots of fats here (both good and bad as you call them), we don't count calories cos thats the beauty of low carb, and we believe not all calories are created equal if you see what I mean :). We do try not to overeat altho it doing low carbpretty much does that for you. Thanks for you advice though, you are right it is impirtant for us to eat enough and not skip meals.

Well said, i did notice that things were mentioned that we already practiced here anyway.
Sugar is the enemy etc etc.

But i think lots of useful info can be gleaned from comments we receive ( if i could only remember it tho) :rotfl:

evening all!!!!!! Badger lady I envy you!! I wish I was a size 12 (I will get there - I will!!!!)

snickerdoodles are in the oven - the recipe makes 24 cookies - dead simple to make!!

will be burgers and egg for tea. by the time I got back from dawdling down the shops it was 7pm  so still not eaten yet and am starving!!!!!

oh!!nearly forgot! co-op fairtrade dark choc (85%) is 8.6carbs per half bar!!! lowest carb choc I have seen so far...

another update!!!! snicker doodles are gooooooood!!!! would be great with a splodge of whipped cream (and I dont particularly like cream!!)

There, there, tomorrow will be a better day as it is FRIDAY! and the forecast here is for a nice day.

Just to let everyone know that Poundland has silicon cake cases for those of you who make the egg things. There are 6 in a pack.

I've deleted my post as I didn't intend to rub anyone up the wrong way. I thought I could offer some advice in a subject that I take alot of interest in, to help people who I thought might have needed it. No offence meant. :)

And yes, I am a bloke. :rotfl:

Me neither, I thought it was nice of you (SS) to take the time to post all that tbh. It's an emotive subject though so we all have our own take on things and personal feeling comes into play a lot.

Ok....onto me now. :D I'm becoming unbalanced. Literally and figuratively speaking. :D No matter what size I was, from a 10 to a ?? (:o) I have always been in proportion which made me look as if I carried the weight well iyswim. People would not believe I was the size or weight I actually was, mostly because the weight was so evenly distributed I think.

Now though, I am losing weight from my top half (boobs/arms/back etc) but the bottom half seems fairly static and I look out of proportion. I had a friend who was this shape, she insisted years of yo-yo dieting had messed her shape up and she would never again be anything other than small on top and big on the bottom. I seriously don't want to continue to be this shape so how do I alter it? Is it just a case of doing exercise to target hips/bum? I have sore knees so can't run and will not even consider anything that involves a swimming cossie...so suggestions on a postcard to ....fatgit@hotmail.co.uk please. :D (That's a made up email addy, don't really mail me there. :rotfl:)

Edit: I've just had a Friends Reunited request from a guy I used to go out with years ago. Quick, find me someone else's picture to send him. :rotfl:

I have to lose weight. I actually feel ashamed. :o

I became unbalanced too, but it suited me, i've always been bigger on the top half so it balanced me out, i thought this had happened because i was unbalanced iykwim.
Hmmm, afraid i cant help, i spose power walking might be good, but walking seems like such a waste of energy to me, unless your going somewhere ;)

Looks like being another lovely day so i'm off out.

That sounds like me also, if I told people how much I weighed before starting they'd have been horrified (as I was) cos I see people on TV who weigh less than I did and they look enormous (obviously I was enormous just didn't see myself like that) and can't walk, go up stairs etc. I'm smaller on top than lower half, my chest back is now a 38 which is the same as my 11 stone SIL (and I'm a long way off that weight - different cup size altogether but still). My main problem areas are bingo wings, a 3 baby overhang and huge bum (I sound such a catch :rotfl:). The belly and bum are always the last to see any improvement on and I'm just not into going to the gym or swimming so I used to walk everywhere (is walking OK for your knees?) and it really did make a difference. Didn't notice it at first but it really helped tone my waist and bum. I treated myself to some fitflops and although it didn't feel them working as such they must have done something as well. I'd walk about 4 miles a day I guess, to work and back and would volunteer to go fetch things round the building I work in which has 10 floors. I really need to get back into doing it, just waiting for some warmer weather and some new fitflops!
