I would suggest yoga. It tones and lengthens all your muscles, so your legs will look slimmer, bum raised, etc. You can't target specific weight loss but you can target toning. Also, in my experience, it does even out in the end. I'm the same.

Hi I was a bit of a halfhearted low carber on the last thread following Dr Dalqvist's plan, but I think i'm the type of person that needs strict rules to follow so I came back to this thread to take a look at how peeps where doing. I started Atkins on monday and todays scales say Ive lost 7POUNDS! woah! I know its probably water weight but its given me such a boost. I have been feeling rubbish all week but understand that passes. Today I feel great lots of energy. Heres hoping I can srick to this woe peeps at work think its cranky and not healthy but they struggle with low fat diets that just dont work. Thanks for posting all your lovely comments they really help.

Well done Jinny. Hold on to that feeling for when the slower loss weeks arrive - it's great to know you're already half a stone down. Do you clothes feel looser?

Thats the sugar leaving the body apparently, I havent had a palpatations either as I am using decaf tea n coffee. I started off Monday at 12.8 and now 12.1 (Im only 5ft) totally amazed at myself. Cant believe how good I was at lunch!! Boss went and got pizza for us all and I didn’t even look at it!! Would have been soooo easy to have just a slice as I forgot to bring some lunch but I must have the sensible part of me being domineering today as I thought ‘no – 2 minutes of pizza means 2-3 days of getting body back into ketosis’!!!

I also know if I had eaten a slice I would have thought ‘sod it – ive had carbs today so might as well have chippy for tea’ and I would have carried on all weekend telling myself I will curb the carbs on Monday!!!

But this time in 2 months it will (hopefully) be summer and I want to look good in my summer clothes!!!

Where are you all? You lot just dont talk as much as you used to, you know. :D Well One bottle of wine later and all is well with the world.

I've managed to forget the fact my car is knackered, my dinner was burnt and my bank account is nearly empty. Can heartily recommend some Blossom Hill...cure for all ills. :rotfl:

I've just had a plate of mixed stawberries and blueberries with the last of my Lidl's Greek yogurt and feel the same way. My car got fixed today at some expense and petrol has gone up by 10p a litre in the last week so I need something to cheer me up hence the dessert. Would never have known about that yogurt if not for this forum.

im not even that hugry - but its the devil on my shoulder saying 'go on - have it, you can always start low carbing again tomorrow...' and it knows its the weekend and that 'tomorrow' will be monday - the devil is also telling me it would be ok as I still havent lost a pound!!!!! :(:(:( I think its the same 'devil' who whispered 'just one wont hurt' and I type this smoking when I had quit for 4 weeks!!!!!! booooooo!
