Feeling EXTREMELY virtuous. Went out to get chocolate. HAd convinced myself somehow that it was OK. Then managed to talk myself out of it and buy rooibos chai tea instead, which I've just had with milk and a sweetener to kill the cravings. You've no idea how close I was to that chocolate...

    Morning all :hello:

Tis such a beautiful day here, sunshine & blue skies, shame I'm feeling carp!! :(

Fell off the low-carb wagon spectacularly yesterday :( I was just feeling unfillably hungry all day & it was making me miserable. So I ate. And ate. And ate. And didn't stop until I went to bed at 11pm.

Feel better this morning, kind of, but I know I'm not in the right frame of mind to just jump back on the low-carb wagon :o so I'll have today off & see how I feel tomorrow.

Oh no, me too, get yourself sorted or you'll be so sorry after all your hard work

Lunchtime i had one single slice of wholmeal bread and then i couldn't stop, have had everything in the house i'm not allowed and hasn't been bothering me since i started back.

Sod this, i'm not putting that weight back on so i'm back to lc first thing.

    Dear Mazzers,

I see you are having some concerns over your bg levels again.

My last result was 6.2% down from 7.0% in September.

This is all by low carbing, alathough I have fallen off the wagon several times especially over christmas/new year.

    do look at:

Sorry so many of you are struggling a bit at the moment. I wish there was a smilie for sending positive thoughts & vibes because I'd use it.

Sorry to hear about your friend too Mercy.

I've had so much temptation over the past couple of days & I'm amazed to say that I've stayed ON the wagon. We went to sister & brother in laws for lunch yesterday. I didn't have rice with the main course, just salmon & roast veggies. Then she came out with the summer fruits tiramisu - & I said no thank you. Then out came the birthday cake - it looked fabulous, but I said no thank you. Then she gave me a box of Thorntons continental chocolates as a present. I didn't open them & have taken them to work today where they'll last about 5 minutes. To cap it all, a colleague brought in a home made coffee cake - & I said no thank you.

I have no idea where this iron self control has come from but I like it. :D

You're not having a good time maz. I have every sympathy for you, can't be easy when the two things you need to do are in direct opposition to each other.

Sweet, get back here ready for action tomorrow or else! (Don't know what the 'or else' is mind you, haven't thought that far ahead.) :rotfl:

    :T < That's for sarah for being good. I'm impressed. :D

Well I'm knackered. I've run more cable, put sockets on walls, moved all the stuff in the loft so the flooring could be lifted.....then lifted the wrong section! I was following the wrong cable. (Why am I not skinny, I should be......I just don't get it? :( )

Not to worry, I got everything done that I needed to so hopefully electrician will be here tomorrow to sort out the nasties in the bedroom that I refuse to touch. I'll need to buy biscuits for him.

OH and eldest are fighting again so atmosphere in here is such that the only thing that will defuse the situation....is wine, for me. :rotfl:Just so happens I have a botttle in the fridge...... quelle surprise!

Oh my, just read Dobie's post....have one of these too...>:T. Good going! :D

Ah me too mercy, i've gone so soft the ads make me cry these days :(

I cry at good news things on telly but not at real life tragedies. Unfortunately I feel, as a good cry would probably help. Stupidly staving it off with red wine and chocolate - yesterday. Just red wine today :o

might just revel in being an anti-social biatch, who knows?! :rotfl:

    Have a good one. :D

That's not like you! I'm shocked :rotfl:

fruitycar - flax is ace, just made some 'cococandy' to get myself off the choc and get more fat in my foodings.

mazz - looks like LC is for you. Shame you are expected to do yourself in to take this test. hope you can find a middle ground or like you say, just explain it to them.

dobie - well done resisting! Your Iron self control is a delight to behold! and an inspiration! YAY!:j

sweets - 'stop messin about' (said in Kenneth Williams style) Just get on with it woman! :D

    OK., Today's food
    B - 2x crispbreads with sausies
    L - spicy stoo
D - Some of the beef mince curry and 2x crispbreads. filled 6 lunch boxes so gona have the rest soon.

Had a choc bar today, didn't really enjoy it but there you go.

Made the coco candy as mentioned, mostly to stop mithering about choc - it has cocoa in it so should settle that one. Want more good fats in my diet so this should help there too.

really not good, avoiding thinking too much and drank red wine. On positive note, have just taken delivery of previously unheard episodes of favourite radio comedy so will listen to them later. Should drift off chuckling. Still avoiding thinking but heyho. Will get around to it soon I'm sure. :rotfl:

At mo am a bit mashed so all to the good.

Big love to all my wonderful low carb lovelies!
