We're baaa-aack! (for now at least )

Ah, I'm having such a good day - woke up this morning to see the good side of 11 stone for the first time, woop-woop! And with all the exercising I've been doing over the last fortnight, I've definitely been building up muscle (sit-ups, lifts etc have all got significantly easier) so good news all round :)

    How's everyone else doing?

    Well done badger:T

    *waves* Hi all. :)

Is it just me or are the thanks and quote buttons the wrong way round?

Well done Badger! I might not weigh myself tomorrow....it's getting boring doing it every week. :o :rotfl:

Edit: Never mind, they've just fixed the buttons. :)

Oh Newish, isn't it stunning? Just been lying down on my new garden bench, drinking soya chai and reading short stories in the sunshine. Bliss! :)

The weightloss has renewed my vigour, as has this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nb4QKBzg1W4&feature=channel_page Isn't she just so stunningly gorgeous? When you look through her other videos, you can see that she actually hit "goal weight" in August 2007 and has maintained ever since. Oh yeah, and she does it with low-carb and pole dancing!

Yeah, I'm the same height too Mazzers... I've been keeping my weight on a chart in pounds so I was 192lbs at my heaviest and am now 153lbs, with a target of 136lbs (slightly more than YouTube chick). However, I've never been my target weight - always had some meat on my bones - and having plateaued for so long I really thought it must be impossible to get any slimmer. Having now seen the size that girl ended up at, I finally know it can be done!

Don't watch her other videos though - turns out she's really annoying :(

Ok...where is everyone this morning? I'm not usually the first. Sweet...you having a long lie again? :D

Well, I will have to adjust my sig the 'wrong way' this week as I haven't got shot of all those extra pounds I put on last week. :(

I can feel my motivation is slipping a bit so I really need to pull my socks up. This is the point where previous diets usually fail. I looked at Badger's link but I didn't find it inspirational tbh...in fact just the opposite. It's just served to remind me how much more weight I need to lose (and it's more than I've lost so far so it seems a bit of a long road). Dont know why I'm so 'glass is half empty' at the moment. Although I've just realised I've missed taking my vits etc for over a week :o, I dont know if that would have any bearing on my mood or if that's got nothing to do with anything. :)

Oh well, there's always jaw wiring. :rotfl:

    Have a good day all.

  • Good morning all!! :hello: Ah, tis good to be back!! :D

alias, I wasn't having a lie-in, just waiting for hubby to get off the lap top!! Anyway, he's gone off to work now & the kids are still in bed so I have a bit of peace for a while!! :T

    So, how are things here??

What's this I hear about lack of motivation?! No, no, no!! Tis not allowed!! Could it be pmt/motm/totm?! Or lack of vitamins?! You need an achievable goal!! Could you lose a stone in a month?? I have a christening to go to in 4 weeks so am wondering if I could lose a stone beforehand?! I'm not sure if that's an achievable goal :o but do you fancy joining me in the challenge?? Anyone else?! Was it jumping that has a wedding coming up?? Come on peeps, let's rise to the challenge!! :rotfl:

Sorry, don't know what's wrong with me this morning, I think I'm de-mob happy for being back home & back on this thread!! :rotfl:Permission is granted to give me a kick if I'm being too hyper!! :o

I could lower the tone if you want me to?! I had a few naughty carbs over the weekend so my alter ego made a return visit fart.gif!! However, inexplicably I lost 2 lbs last week!! That confused me as I expected to gain?! I'm wondering if the scales are wrong because the batteries have needed changing for about a month but I've been eeking(?) the last bit of juice out of them!! :rotfl:Will see if I can change them today & re-weigh tomorrow.

Anyway, this post is big enough so I'll stop for now & grab some brekkie then I'll come back & read all the posts I've missed!!

    Morning, all

Aliasojo, I know what you mean about the motivation slipping. The fortnight around Mother's Day weekend I just couldn't stay on track and the scales were up and down (mainly up) and all over the place. This week, however, I've finally made it into the zone again, and I've lost 2lb. This diet really works, and it's relatively painless because we can eat really delicious food and not be hungry - so God only knows why I feel the need to cheat and binge from time to time.

Well done on your 2lb loss too, Sweet! I've also got to read through the posts I've missed over the last few days.

    Have a good week, everyone.
  • Ok, I've had my brekkie & am feeling calm now!! hdspin.gif

HC, well done on the 2lbs off!! :T

Am thinking my 3 bike rides may have counteracted any naughty carbs I had at the weekend & that's why I lost 2lbs last week?? Or it may be that my scales are just needing new batteries after all!! :rotfl:Eldest daughter has whipped all the spares for her camera so will have to get more. That's if I manage to get out today - she's still in the Land of Nod at the moment!!

    Menu for today

    B - 2 rashers bacon & 2 fried eggs
L - think there's some wilting salad in the fridge so maybe tuna salad?
D - still thinking about making cheesy leek & ham 'fudge' so if I do I'll have that?

Have a good day everyone. :D
