Sweet, dont waste money on a ricer, i never use mine, used it for swede and sometimes potatoes when first bought but is so fiddly and messy and holds so little that you have to keep refilling, its just not worth the hassle, grate the cauli instead.

This book is very interesting, but would take some getting used to.

Phase 1 eliminates candida and intolerances, it is strict, but only lasts five days so is def do-able. ( Cant quite believe i did that fasting thingummy for a couple of days without cheating or being hungry.. was that really me, or did i dream it :rotfl:)

Phase two is food combining, so nothing new there, but as i've never tried it, i will give it a go.

Phase three is the 'maintenace' phase and seems to be anything and everthing, not too often and in moderation, but we all know that anyway eh?

Wont be attempting it next week as i'm off to London with a friend for a few days so will be enjoying eating and drinking i'm afraid

Gers, what do you intend using the cauli rice for?? I'm thinking of buying myself a ricer but not sure what I'd use it for?? :o

Hi Sweet - it's really just mashed up cauli with butter and loads of pepper and lemon juice and I add it all savoury meals as another veg - others use it in different ways but I just fry it up (in coconut oil of course) sometimes with bacon or chorizo etc.

I do get really hungry and that's why I haven't been able to cut out the Lidl Greek yoghurt yet. It helps stop my sweet cravings and fills me up. I'm trying to find something else to replace it with, but I haven't had time to read through the whole of this thread yet (for ideas) so I can do a proper daily menu.

I use this each day as it's the lowest carb yoghurt around - if you mean the 10% fat one - and it's OK to take this. It's what I add my flaxseed oil to as it disguises the taste somewhat and also is a very effective carrier for the flaxseed so don't stress about taking it.

Right - done my long overdue paperwork and now going to head out into the day and have a walk before lunch.

    Hello all

    Menu today;

Brunch - Mushroom, spinach, bacon & cheese omelette.
D - Gammon brussels sprouts & green beans.

Because I messed up the jelly dessert yesterday & heated up one of Mercy's chocolate buns in the microwave & ate it with some double cream. It's unbelievable that I can eat this way & lose weight. Not sure if I mentioned that I lost 2 lbs last week?

I've done a total of 70 minutes on the Wii today too so am feeling unbearably smug at the moment. It won't last because there's a glass of vodka & slimline with it's name on it when I've finished typing.

I hope everyone is having a good Sunday.
    xx

What % chocolate did you use?? I've just bought some 85% & now I'm worried it's going to be too bitter :(
Well done on the 2lbs off btw!! :D

Mercy, I know you said at least 70% chocolate for the chocolate buns, have you tried the 85%?? I was hoping to make them today & went & bought the chocolate on the spur of the moment but didn't buy enough :( Think I'll get some 70% tomorrow & use half & half as I really want them to taste as nice as possible!! Also don't have Cream of Tartar in the hoose so will have to get some. I really should read recipe ingredients!! I was sooooo disappointed that I couldn't make them today.

Have felt really bleurgh today :( Struggling with the idea of eating low-carb food again, I don't know why. Have stuck with it but I think I'm getting egged out. Made some sausage & egg muffins today, had 2 but didn't really like them & don't think I'll be eating the rest of them, just didn't like the egg texture. :(

So, feeling a bit sorry for meself today :o hope I'm ok tomorrow as really want to stick with lcing.

Sorry you're feeling a bit rough Sweets. Falling off the wagon wont make you feel better. But you know that!
I think the 85% will be too strong for the muffins. I think 70% is just right to get maximum chocolatiness. Maybe if you use 1/2 & 1/2 you could increase the sweetener a little? Warmed with some cream they were absolutely LUSH. They're worth waiting for. :D

    .

Thanks, am going Wed- Fri, a friend booked ages ago for her and her son to go to the tennis but he has gone back to school and has exams, she would've had to go alone but nagged me (i dont like tennis) but she will only be there for a few hours.

We are really looking forward and have decided to book a show ( again, not my cup of tea, but may as well )
Back Friday, work Sat then out in Cardiff Sat night for my birthday, wish i'd booked next week off instead of last week

Sweet, try the Harcombe, perhaps its a change you need, maybe you could get it off the kind poster who offered it, sorry, cant remember who it was  tut tut, old age :D

Morning - just waiting for washing machine to finish the cycle and then am off for a couple of days. Had my breakfast and got the car loaded with mini cheeses and pepperamis just in case I miss any meals. Last time I headed down the M1 I got stuck for a couple of hours.

Hope everyone keeps on the LC path:j

I tried this and must say
Do not use that much splenda!
It tasted awful! I don't have that much tolerance for artificial sweeteners unless their cooked so this just made my tongue feel like it was swelling up  It probably wasn't :rotfl: Just felt like that so I had to throw it all away :(

If I was ever to do this again I would make up with only half the coffee no splenda and see how that tasted before doing other things to it. Tasting as I went.

If anyone gets a good version, please post :D

I've not tried this but from absolutely EVERYTHING I've tried to make that needs sweetener I'd say replace splenda (ewww) with erythritol. Low Carb megastore does it - not cheap but IMO worth every penny!
