Hi Everyone
I wondered if I could join in with you all from time to time? I have been TRYING to change to a low carb life style for the last 8 weeks or so. Started off really well and have lost 18lbs so far :jHowever last weekend was my mums birthday and I decided to give in to the CAKE:eek:!! And from then on I couldn't stop. I started again this week and did ok up to today when I made scones and decided I must try them etc etc. Anyway, my motivation is falling by the way side but I really want to lose all the baby weight (infact enough for 2 babies!) but can't seem to stick to it. I am hoping if no-one minds from time to time I will post how things are going so that I can keep myself in check and have been reading all your stories and you are my inspiration (no I'm not creeping!!;) )
Anyway does anyone have any tips that help motivate them? all help is gratefully received! x0 -

I think you're great Mazzers. I've fallen off the wagon for weeks at a time but instead of carrying on trying & posting on here I just creep away & hide. Not you, you just keep on trying & posting & helping everyone else. So :T Mazzers.
Today's menu for me (TGIF) will be;
B mushroom, spinach & cheese omelette
L Prawn salad
D Pork steak fried with a little red onion & mushroom with broccoli & cauli.
Have a good day.

Hi everyone - today's menu is: yoghurt, eggs & cheese (again) and chicken and ??? I desperately want to weigh myself again but I'm trying not to do it until Monday, especially as weekend's are my worst time for slipping-up. I'm not having the urge to 'binge' so much and am really pleased. Lidl's profits must have really dipped this week! Have a great weekend.0

does anyone have shy's home made lc baileys recipe ??
This is a copy of Shykins' post from a while ago
ok lowcarb baileys recipe as requested
10 fl oz double cream
190ml whisky
3/4 tspn coffee granules
1/2 tspn vanilla essence
3/4 tspn cocoa (the proper sugar free stuff
1/2 almond essence
6tbspn splenda (sounds way too much to me, i use da vinci caramel to taste)
mix cocoa, coffee, sweetener in enough whisky to make a paste, warm cream, add rest of stuff and blend into the paste, bottle, let cool and refridgerate... will keep a week assuming it lasts that long lol0 -
Morning everyone :hello:
Welcome stickypudding, good to have you on the thread & yes, try to post regularly as it does keep you motivated, as mazzers said.
Dobie, I think mazzers is great too!! *insert cheesy smilie*
mazzers, what day is your birthday?? Hope your mouth is better by thenpoor you.
linni, I try not to weigh too often, I don't have batteries in my bathroom scales so always have to plug in the wii fit & do the bodytest to check my weight & can usually only be bothered to do that once a week.
Anyway, menu for today
B - 2 egg cheese & mushroom omelette
L - 2 low-carb crispbreads with butter & cheese
D - 2 fish in butter sauce, cheesy leeks, cauli mash
That will be my f-f well & truly empty so will be defrosting it over the weekend & then re-stocking on Monday with lots of lovely low-carb food!!
Have a good day all, sooo glad it's Friday, it's been a loooooong week.
See you all later :wave:0 -

Hi everyone
day 5 here, getting more ill each day but still staying strong. Last night made a small bit of almond bread in the micro (i like the quick and easy recipes) tried toasting it and it worked slightly
very happy with this. Saved two small slices (size of crackers) to bring into my work with me today, just had one and they have firmed up alot. Has a more cake texture than bread but because i didnt add any slenda the saltiness of the butter makes it taste lovely.
just want i needed.
I am tempted to see how much i weigh as well but because i gave alway my scales last night wont be able to unless i run to boots. Think might hold out for awhile longer. Have a great Friday everyone!!0 -
Happy Friday
Mackrel, greek yoghurt and flax seed "pate" for my lunch. Feeling more human now I'm eating properly. Later will be having fiery ginger & garlic chicken on a huge portobello (sp?) mushroom. *sigh*
How are you guys today?0
