  • Morning :hello:

Tis very quiet on here lately, hope this thread isn't dying a death :(
Come on peeps, get posting, I still need your support & encouragement!!

    B - 2 egg cheese omelette
L - 2 crackers with butter & cheese, garlic sausage or ham
D - chilli (if I've got the right container out of the freezer ), baby salad leaves, coleslaw

Bought the salad leaves yesterday & had a huge pile of them with my dinner last night instead of the usual cauli mash.

Had 2 more crackers & cheese for supper & a handful of salt & vinegar peanuts, feeling peckish lately. :o

Finally recovered enough to be bothered typing! Yay! :j

Lol!! That could be me tomorrow as going out for a [STRIKE]bottle of wine[/STRIKE] drink with my Sister tonight. First time in ages so have lots to catch up on, only problem is she can drink like a fish!!

Been very good today, i want the rest of the Sheridans tho :o dont know if i can resist

    So did you resist??
Had a look at the Sheridans yesterday, looks lovely, like a sideways on Guinness!! Very tempted but I already have Gin & Baileys put away for Christmas so didn't get any.
Btw, does it taste of milky coffee?? If so, I wouldn't like it anyway as I have my coffee black.

I like the sound of that M&S chicken Sweet.

The chicken was lovely, very tasty. Bought it as part of the £10 meal deal. Would like to re-create it myself as too expensive to just buy it normally. The sour cream inside was thick, as if it had been whipped?? Don't know if sour cream can be whipped to make it thicker?? Anyway, yum, yum, could just eat it again now!! :D

Will post menu after work tonight.

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
Hye all, just thought I'd drop in, been low carbing but it's been quite hard, somehow if you've fallen off the wagon once its so much easier to do it over and over again.

Was mooching around Boots the other day and saw some diabetic chocolate and nuts reduced in price to 25p a bar (was a quid I think).

So bought a couple for emergencies cos I thought they'd be low in sugar than normal choccie.... had a couple of pieces last night....and you know what it's like....went back for a few more, and a few more and before I knew it I'd scoffed the whole bar.

About an hour later I had the most awful stomach ache...and spent the next 2 hours on the toilet :rotfl::o....was thinking I'd got a sudden bug but then checked the other packet of choccie and it said in wee small letters "polyols may produce a laxative effect in large doses"...You don't say!

Well look on the bright side, felt like I'd lost about a stone!

That'll teach me to try and cheat, just stick to the plan and do it properly.

B - boiled egg and a stick of celery
L - cheese, tomatoes (and a satsuma eek)
D - prob corned beef hash type thingy, corned beef fried with chopped mixed veggies. NO diabetic choc!

Oh sorry I don't often post but i am lurking, this thread has become part of my daily ritual so please don't stop.

I lost my stone - went from 10 to 9, I have started to eat carbs again but try to limit them, it's the biscuits and the buttery toast at work that I find hard to resist. Despite this I have maintained my weight loss and always find this thread an inspiration for new food ideas :T

    Keep the faith!

  • Evening all :D

Just waiting for Sister to arrive & then I'm off out to the pub. Felt like cancelling earlier as had a rotten day but I'm glad I didn't, feel the need to get out & drink!!

Didn't get to the shops for coleslaw so had cheesy leeks/mush with my chilli & salad. Bit of a strange combo but tasted good to me.
mazzers, I find the crackers & cheese with garlic sausage is enough for me on a lunchtime, maybe it's the fibre in the crackers filling me up?? I do drink plenty of water with them so that probably helps as well!!
My 'greedy' meal is usually dinnertime :o If I find I'm stalling with weight loss I'll cut down portion size a bit.

avstar, lol at your overdose on polywotsits!! :rotfl: The same happens if you eat too many sugar free mints, so be warned!!

Sharlee, nice to know you are still lurking!! Well done on losing that stone & I will keep the faith that I'll get there too, only 8lbs to go for this particular stone!!:D

Right, better get myself sorted, see you tomorrow

Me too - sorry. I find it difficult to post when I've eaten something I shouldn't - like the home made chips to go with the steak last night & a few glasses of wine. :o

In my defence it was a special meal because it's the last one I'll cook for my son before he goes back overseas & I won't see him again for nearly 18 months. I'm going to find it hard for the next few days until I get used to him not being around again.

Late for work - must go.

I'll try harder to post regardless of how well I'm doing.
