Hello again all, i have now been back to work for a week and back low carbing it, i had 3 weeks off and was back in Scotland, did not give the diet a single thought, was pizzas, chinese, kebabs and lager, managed to put on 2Kg in the 3 weeks so i am still happy.

I am actually very motivated by this now, i used to do bursts at the gym which i would not see results fast so i would just quit again, but with losing 6Kg in 5 weeks while at work last time i know it can be done and it is worth it.

Started about 10 weeks ago now, break of 3 in the middle and have come from 88.2Kg to 83.2Kg today, still classed as overweight on those stupid charts at the doctors, but getting there and if all goes well i may make the OK bracket within the next couple of months.

Good luck to all who are LCing and as i have learnt, it gains momentum after a while, dont be put off if you have not lost too much after a couple of weeks, i was getting a bit miffed with it after my first 3 weeks and small loss, but huge surprise after 5 weeks.

  • Morning all :hello:

Mercy, you are a complete lovely nutter!! You should be in the Land of Nod by now!! Sounds like you had a great time, tis lovely to get together with family & eat mugs of peas & chocolate buns!! :D

I have just eaten a huge breakfast so am feeling very full & contented, should keep me going for a while.

B - fried egg & huge portion of bubble & squeak (without egg to bind cos it looked a bit sloppy :o)
L - 2 crackers with butter & cheese, garlic sausage
D - roast chicken, cauliflower cheese/cheesy leeks combo

Mercy, funny you should say about mazzers maybe not eating enough veg as I've been thinking that I don't either. I eat tonnes of cauli mash but not a great deal/variety of anything else. I know I put loads of different veg in the chilli/curry, but if you divide it up between 8 portions, it's not enough.
Also think my red meat intake is a bit high as well, so going to try & add more chicken and fish to my menus.
Anyone know how much red meat we should be eating per week on low-carb??

Welcome back Boozer, good for you getting back into low-carb straightaway.

mazzers, fess up, how many more chocs jumped from the box into your mouth?! Shame on you, missus!! :naughty::p

Right, off to make DD2 a cheese omelette, see you all later

    Hi folks

Just popped in - got back from my week up north (wet every day but fabulous never the less) and before I go off for 4 days for work.

Hols brought a load of booze and then, right at the end, some sinful carbs so not so good, but I don't care!! :o:o Had a great time and a few friends popped in to stay at the cottage with me. Mine hosts were wonderful as usual and I came home with some game :j for the freezer.

An interlude in my WOE but not too much... and so, onward and downward!

Haven't read the missing bits :o cos have to get myself organised for work, washing and sleeping but I hope that everyone is well and doing a grand job.

Back Thursday evening/Friday afternoon. Cheers to everyone.
