Tis lovely outside this morning so thinking of going on another bike ride, if my bum can take it that is!!If not, I'll just go for a longish walk.
mazzers/daisy - hope you're both feeling ok today - hopefully you've got things out of your system & can move on. Daisy get running & mazzers get your backside on that cross trainer as penance!! :rotfl: Anyway, as long as you enjoyed the tortillas & stella then it wasn't wasted!!We have all been there, some more than others.
Mercy, have you stopped flapping around like a kipper?! Or was it a haddock?! Hope you sort your bloatedness out, it's not a nice feeling is it, hopefully changing to salad at lunchtime will help matters.
Hope you enjoy your hols, including the swiss choc, bring us some back please!! :rotfl:
alias, if you've been eating/drinking a lot of those shakes then I wonder if they are to blame for your couple of lbs on?? They might be causing a bit of fluid retention?? I'm suffering with that at the moment (PMT symptom) & I still have about 10 days to go for totm!!
Anyway, keep smiling, it keeps the wrinkles at bay!!
I'm strictly a herring in the flapping stakes :rotfl: Things are starting to come together so it's looking good. Hate being bloated but am running out of ideas.
I won't be strictly low carb on hols. Basically I'm in their home eating their meals so don't like to fuss too much.
The trip is nicely timed to be back at Easter so will be bringing large amount of choc back - for prezzies

I have finally lost today, a whole lb  Although I feel a lot better on this I was thinking of trying something else
but Im all excited at losing today, but at this rate it will take me years to lose it all.
Mazzers I think clothes are the best indication. I have been eating more in the past few days.0 -
Mercy - thanks for the Mexican fudge recipie - lots and lots! Its wonderful - even OH loves it so I'll have to make double next time.
I made it Sunday and didn't spread the chillis out very evenly so yesterday's square was a bit bland whilst the day before I nearly blew my head off!
Used up all the cheddar in the house so need to buy more today then plan to make a whopping batch tomorrow.
Has anyone tried cooking then freezing either of these? I've just bought an electricity monitor and the change in recording when the oven is turned on is horrifying! Our electicity usage is ridiculously high for just two people in a small house so we'll be batch cooking when we can for starters.
Glad you like the fudge! I find mine keeps in the fridge for 5 days longest so far, without deterioration. Maybe put some in a time locked box in the fridge? That way it will last as you won't eat it all at once
Normal lasagne will freeze so this one might do too. separate into portions first in case the veg content goes a bit floppy and hard to handle? Not made it as not a big lasagne fan.

Mercy have a great holiday. mmmm swiss chocolate. I get less bloating now than I have for a long time.

Congratulations, jumpinj!
Thanks for telling us, it's great to have good news
Babies low carb so not too off topic :rotfl:

HanSpan, was your head the only thing that nearly blew off?! :rotfl:
I know what you mean about electricity useage - 40/45 mins for the fudge is quite a lot so cooking double is a good idea. Very MSE.
jumping, let's all sing "CONGRATULATIONS& CELEBRATIONS" on your news - for going to be a Gran & for losing that pesky lb!! Yay!!
Talking of babies, I've just been into town to buy 2 little outfits for my new baby niece - the lady on the till started chatting to me about the price of prams these days so either I should be pleased that she thought I looked young enough to have a baby or miffed that she thought I was fat enough to have just had a baby!!I think I'll go with the young one!! :rotfl:

I think that is my prob, i'm not eating enough.. possibly.
As i said before, i used to eat loads last time i did it. It's not that i really mind missing out on toast.. its the fact that i am, but not benefitting from it IYKWIM.
I know what you mean mazzers, but you have lost weight so you are benefitting from it. Was it 9lbs you had lost (that's the size of a whole baby you know!!) & you haven't been doing it that long really. I think it's a brilliant start. :j You do have to be in it for the long-term though, there are no quick fixes (& you'd end up with saggy skin if you lost the weight too quickly!!).
Maybe try eating more or changing what you eat?? I was a bit embarrassed when I looked at how much I was going to be eating today, but it's all low-carb stuff & I can feel that I'm losing weight so I'm going to keep filling my face!! :rotfl: Off to get my salmon salad now, feeling quite peckish!!0 -

You're not having that much, its just that i have been underdoing it:rotfl:
Like i said last time i ate all the time, all LC and lost loads, and if i wasnt doing LC i'd be having more food than that, so just enjoy.
Been to Ikea with a skinny friend and she had cake with her coffee and i wasnt going to but then thought, sod it why not, so i had a strawberry tart... and i dont even care:T
I must admit, it was nowhere near as nice as the raspberry and jelly thing tho, and i really mean that, so wont bother again.
Back on track now, am gonna have chicken/veg later.
This way of eating is for life for me now, i'm very happy with that, but do intend to have the odd treat.
The old me would be trying to eat as much as i could now today, before starting again tomorrow, so pretty groundbreaking.
Why i'm feeling disappointed too, is on my fast i hadnt eaten for hours and refused a slice of Dominos pizza that the boys had delivered, was just thinking how much i was gonna lose:rolleyes:
Ah well enough whinge-ing, tis a fab day and i'm off to make some fudge.
Big congrats to jumping:beer:0 -
Me again!!
Just been for another 30 minute bike ride & it nearly killed me off this time!! Went a slightly different route, along the seafront, but it was soooooooo windy I was really struggling to keep going!! My legs were just about dead!! :rotfl: Came back with an extremely red face & bumped into two neighbours!! Usually I don't see anyone!! Bloomin typical!!
Anyway, sad person that I am, when I came back I decided to google 'fat bird on a bike'!! Watched a couple of funny You Tube videos & then spotted a MSE post so had a look at that - & there was Badger posting about her bike!! She wasn't the fat bird btw!!
Badger, do you still have your red GT Cruiser?! Sounds well cool!!0 -
Forgot to add that i know others on here have belly pork but i would never normally eat fatty meat and have never bought it but had some reduced in tesco which i cooked slowly then crisped up the crackling, was blimmin gorgeous, i even ate some crackling, a first for me.0
