Forgive me sisters - I had another glass of wine last night! :j

I have decided that I really miss the odd glass of wine and don't miss at all any of the other rubbish in my previous eating habits. Can do without sugar and carbs in all other forms apart from a dashing Sauvigon Blanc or Pinot Grigio.

Apart from that all is well with LC life - having the same old usual food and really enjoying it.

    Keep those spirits up!

well gers, I am in the naughty corner too – I had 3 glasses of wine (and they were rose  !!)

Forgot to take prawns out of the freezer but luckily I remembered I have some beef chunks in the fridge so I will have beef curry tonight instead!!
Really looking forward to making (and eating) flax bread later – though knowing my luck it wont turn out right and I will be left with an egg and seed mess!!!!

Don't forget to mill your seeds unless you've bought them already milled. Otherwise they will pass straight through your digestive system untouched (like sweetcorn) and emerge at the other end whole. No goodness absorbed at all.

    Hope it tastes lovely!
  • Morning all :hello:

Feeling a bit better about low-carb today

mazzers, methinks gers has pinched our energy levels & has also nicked my sleep, I had another sh1te night last night :( 'Scuse the French :o

Also, mazzers, you need to eat, eat, eat!! I don't think 'hardly eating' is being good!! :wall: You know that your body will just think 'starvation mode' & keep hold of anything you do eat!! You always say that when you did low-carb before you ate loads & lost loads of weight, so get doing that again!! Get organised!! Make your lasagne & have it with some salad or mashed cauli, it makes a good couple of portions so you can have it over a couple of days. Or have bangers & cauli mash with those cheap sausages you bought before your hols. You need to eat!!

Whoops, sorry about that, got a bit carried away!! :o:rotfl:

Welcome back focus, glad you had a good weekend. I really fancy a couple of days away, thinking about using Tesco deals to book a hotel over the October hols, been saving up so should have enough. :j

    B - 2 egg cheese & ham omelette
    L - salad??
D - chicken piri piri/mozzarella & cauli mash or green beans??

Have to say the salmon & watercress sauce was lovely last night, had it with cauli mash & it went perfectly.

Anyway, apologies for the mega-post/sermon :o Have a good day everyone

Morning everyone!! feel great today after 1 low carb day under my belt. felt so bloated and blah the whole time i was eating junk. Only problem is low carb is only good when you cook alot or really know what you are doing in the kitchen. Need to practice more!! Especially when it comes to flax!! and think when i have enough money will have a good shop on that low carb megastore website. especially for a bread subsitute :D

No...just mine have increased lately. Motivation is, in itself, a great motivator! Sound garbled but just feeling positive is making me feel great! And seeing the inroads I'm making in changing my life, my home and my attitude is fantastic for me. I was well on the way to becoming a recluse, only hindered by my natural outgoing and cheery nature :rotfl: but it was beginning to be overwhelmed. A new job role, a new eating regime and a new perspective have given me the much needed kick up the proverbial which was long needed.

I use the phrase 'how can I....?' to keep the positivity levels high. Again, don't mean to sound like Pollyanna but it works for me.

'How can I ensure that I live long enough and well enough to enjoy my grandchildren/parachuting/libido?' By losing the all engulfing fat which currently restricts my mobility (a bit), my energy levels (a bit more) and my confidence (a lot).

    Simples!

I know that others are struggling more! But keep those chins up - but have less of those chins which need keeping up.

    Yes mum :p

I usually make up for a no eat day by scoffing the next
Sometimes, i'm just too tired to chew even tho i'm hungry.

Today i've had, bacon, those fabulous sausages (omg, i love em) egg, mushrooms and fried tomato, was lush, also had some yogurt with raspberries and nuts, see, i make up for not eating

I was thinking of making the lasagne actually, or the chicken curry.
As its sunny, i am off to make some bread (to get it to raise in conservatory, got nowhere warm to prove it)

To any newbies really missing bread, this easy recipe is wonderful but the gluten is only available online. It is just like proper bread icon7.gif and freezes well.

Ooh, i used 1/4 of my bread dough to make a pizza, as you can see my oven cooks better on one side but was a good result.
