Ooh Sunny, you're up early
tis still black out there.
I went to the loo and decided to stay up to do my washing ready to go straight out, it's a starry sky so hopefully it will be a nice day.
Went to bed at ten so i've had enough sleep, but lots on my mind so may a well get sorted
If i stay lc til Sat, i should at least lose the bloat
Well done yummy for sticking to lc despite the hunger pangs.0 -
Morning Mazzers :hello:
It seems weird that it`s still dark at this time, i`m gonna venture down the garden with the washing in a minute. Last time i was up this early it was light! Both dogs are snoring away but i`ll bet as soon as i open the door they`ll both come running lol.
SDPlanning on starting the GC again soon0 -
Really??
Bl00dy hell, i've been buying low sugar jam, i didnt know you could get a sugar free one.
How much is it? and is it with all the jams?
Oh, and does it keep well?
I'm rubbish at keeping up with the thread - sorry.
They sweeten it with grape juice, it keeps just as well as 'normal' jam but it's rather more expensive. The jars are smaller - 248g or 10oz - & I pay just under £1.20.0 -

Morning everyone :hello:
mazzers & Sunny, I don't know whether to call you night owls or larks?!
Well, I feel so much better todayNo headache & no spaced out feeling. My only gripe (well there had to be one didn't there ) is that my legs feel a bit tired so a bit of muscle fatigue methinks.
Already had my brekkie
B - 3 cumberland chipolata sausages & buttery scrambled egg
L - corned beef hash (leftover from yesterday)
D - pork escalopes/garlic mushrooms/cheesy leeks
Dinner last night was good - made zero's pesto chicken recipe (in Mercy's recipe list page 1) but without the pesto!!Still haven't been to Home Bargains for the cheapie pesto so put piri piri seasoning on instead with sliced mozzarella - twas truly delish!!
mazzers, not long til your hol!! Eek!! You can definitely lose a bit of bloat in a couple of days if you want to, I feel better already (after only 3 full days) & my usual carby face has lost a bit of chubbiness already!! Ps. notice I'm ignoring the jam remark!! :rolleyes2:p
Have a good day all :wave:0 -

You know what I mean though, don't you!! I hate the 'raw' texture & taste of some ham (proscuttio??) & obviously Mercy's bavarian ham!! _pale_
I like the idea of putting chorizo in bol/chilli - Saturday is 'Mince' day so I probably won't open it until then & I'll make a chilli (but minus the kidney beans & chickpeas, sob sob) Do I put in whole slices or chop them up a bit??
I'm guessing chop them up a bit!!

Made a delicious dinner last night which was amazing as it's the end of our shoppnig week and the fridge looked decidedly empty. Found some chicken thighs I'd frozen so defrosted them, found half an aubergine looking sad, some courgettes and onions and a bit of very hard chorizo. Chucked them all in a roasting tin, tin of toms on top, some rosemary and basil from the garden, some smoked paprika and two jars of half-eaten salsa (also lurking from the back of the fridge). Added some dried up old halloumi for the last ten minutes. Cooked for 50 minss, was delicious. SOrt of spanish chicken I suppose but with a few extras. I reccommend it.0

Ok I see what you mean about proscuitto!
Def chop it up a bit, I throw it in with onions and garlic and any other flavourings (paprika and chilli powder and coriander seeds) before putting in the mince, usually turns out good!
does any one else find their chilli/spagbol tastes better after its been left a day or 2 in fridge or even better frozen?? I always think I'll cook it in advance but can never be patient enough to put in freezer for a few days!!
All good today, getting bit bored of eggs and bacon but its filling me up so not complaining - promise!
did a shop last night so stocked up on babybels and water etc
had omellette for tea (but did throw in a bit of sweetcorn - sssssssh) was yummy though and not gonna effect me that much I don't think - a tablespoon of sweetcorn?
just bought a phone on ebay - cacking it a bit as can't guarentee if it works/is good quality but at least I have some comeback with paypal....

Focus - don't let this guy get away with it. It may not seem like much but these little digs everyday will get you down. You need to report it for your own sake. This is what happened to me -i didn't think it was bad enough to report it/make a fuss, but in the end I just broke without warning! Its taken me nearly 2 years to get back to "normal" and I have the weight gain and the prescriptions to prove it!!
On another subject -i'm only just having my brekkie! Got woken up by the delivery of a live frog onto my person (who'd have cats?). Trying to get it outside it hopped into the kitchen and into the microwave! So I have just returned from taking Ferdinand to my parent's who have a pond (and ended up fixing their phone/sorting their insurance etc while there.)
Still loving stewed fruit/yoghurt/seeds for brekkie. Will make a veggie quorn chili for dins (don't mention the kidney beans).

I quite often freeze a portion or two of bol or chilli - I wouldn't say it tastes better after it's been frozen, but it doesn't taste any worse!!
cwoffeee time xxx:p
Can I ask why you say cwoffeee?! Thought it was a typo the first time I spotted it but you seem to do it all the time?!marrowgirl wrote: »(don't mention the kidney beans).
Ok, I won't mention that kidney beans (in water) have 21.4g carbs per half drained can and just for information chickpeas (in water) have 19.3g carbs per half drained can
But they are great for low-gi!!:D
