  • Morning everyone :hello:

Just a quick post whilst all is still quiet in the Sweet household

marrow, sorry to hear you're not doing great :( I had noticed you had disappeared. Hope you are not being forced into a corner & thinking you have to resign from your job. Is it called 'constructive dismissal' or something like that?? Basically, you are made to feel that you have no choice but to leave. I might be totally wrong, but don't be bullied into leaving if you really don't want to.

focus, great to see you are feeling positive :D

We are off out for the day today, a big walk through some woods is looming!! (There is a cafe selling HM carrot cake at the end of it though, so not all bad!! :rotfl:) Should be a nice day though, the exercise will do me good. See you all later

    Hey dudes, I'm back!

After months of splurging (and I mean daily pastries, chocolate, bread...) and not putting on a single pound, I think my body's about ready to start losing weight again.

So I'm on Day 2 of my own strange little induction - the smoothie diet! I'll do this for one week, break on Sunday (eat normally), then do this again next week but with some additions like poached egg or smoked tofu. Then after the induction comes low-carbing

So anyway, day 2 and I'm miserable. Hungry, dizzy, can't concentrate on my work... but I tell you what, I can feel my body detoxifying and I like that  I'm also very confident that this will get me into a size 10 and make me happy!

So, sorry I've been out of touch... and I hope you won't be offended that I don't go back and read the last 112 pages...

    Hi peeps,

i got weighed today and have lost another lb :D

i`ve been keeping off the scales instead of hopping on them every 5 minutes so its nice to see a loss no matter how small.

I really need to go to the shops, my diet has been strictly limited as i`ve been using up things that need eating and i`m thoroughly sick to death of chicken. Thankfully it`s all gone now :j

Today will be back to "normal" eating with bacon, buttery scrambled eggs and sausages for brekkie - think that there are mushrooms too and a tomato.
Dinner will be burgers done in the oven YUM! and tea will be the last lc lasagne which i`ve just unearthed from the depths of the freezer :D

Can`t wait lol, i think that it will be a long time before i buy chicken again.

Jordylass - hope that you`re not in much pain, sounds horrible

Marrowgirl - Good luck for your meeting, hope that you get the result that you want. Don`t let anyone bully you.

I need to buy some teabags, since i`ve been lcing i`ve only allowed myself to drink chamomile tea, if i go back onto the ordinary stuff then it gradually goes back to having milk and sugar added no matter how much i try not to, with the chamomile i just add water and then keep refilling the mug so i get lots of cups out of one teabag. I`ve run out of these now so i`m still using yesterdays teabag :rotfl:it`s little more than hot water but at least its keeping me on the straght and narrow.:D

Keep up the good work everyone.

Oo, OK maybe I should stay away for another week or so, until my smoothie diet is finished. Your food all sounds far too lovely!

    Hello all!

I'm baaaaack! Feeling more chirpy & healthy today. Work meeting was pretty horrible -gave my notice. Hopefully have some temp work coming up. I just couldn't face going back there, and they were so unsupportive. I'm not prepared to put my health on the line anymore for that job. Never been out of work before so bit scared but I'll pretty much do anything so hopefully should find something.
Had a huge confidence boost this morning -lost 5 lbs! I just need to have another stomach bug each month and i'll be fine. :D Finally under *mumble mumble* Stone. Hurrah!

Hi Badger, hows tricks? Hows your mum?

Marrow, good luck on the job front icon14.gif
Glad things went ok, and woo hoo on the 5lbs :T

Mardatha, i found that milk stalled me, so be careful.
  • May I sneak in and join you? :)
I need to keep track of what I'm eating/doing and perhaps get some input.
I'm not doing Atkins, more a kind of "caveman"/paleo/primal. So meat, veggies, eggs, some fruit, no grains (including soy) or sugar.
Well, that's the theory, I've been bouncing on-and-off the wagon! I feel great eating this way but no-one else "gets" it so eating other people's cooking can be awkward. Also have had a rough few weeks and succumbed to comfort eating. Not as bad or as long-lasting as I have previously, but still it doesn't help.

So today I've had an onion and bacon omelette, some dried apricot/coconut/almond homemade wotsits, some fresh blackberries and a *whole pack* (9 rashers) of bacon  in my defence, I was pre-grilling it to be included in salad, but it was just so crunchy and yummy :o Oh and 2 cups of coffee too....the whitener is horrid stuff but I'm trying to stay off milk.
Hmm in terms of food volume / calories that's not a lot though is it!
I promise I normally eat more veg!

    Here's to ditching the beer(wheat?)-belly!

Marrow - have read the previous page and you say you don't eat meat, how about eggs for extra protein? How do you feel about seafood too? Obviously a no-no if you're vegan or for ethical reasons though. Hey, a bad oyster might help you with the stomachbug... :p:rolleyes: I'll get my coat.....
