Another morning and another LC breakfast. I am actually really really enjoying this way of living/eating! Each day I wake up to looking forward to what's ahead rather than dreading the daily struggle with food; I sleep much much better; am energised throughout the day but go into sleep immediately and am losing weight each day! What more can a gal ask for.
Even when, at the weekend, I was offered a piece of the most delicious and precious family cake ever on the face of the universe, I was easily able to refuse - no hesitation or deliberation - no contest! I did manage to lick the platter clean of the cream afterwards. :rotfl:
Still fat though, but the huge roll over tummy is almost gone, the large expanse of fat between my breasts and my tummy is flattening and my bum is thinner (bit like J-Lo but not as attractive!). Had to tighten my bra too. The more changes I see and feel the more I am motivated by the bacon, eggs, cheese, meat and veggies.
STILL need to up the water though.
Have a good LC day folks. More strength to your willpower.0 -
Good morning all :hello:
Thanks, neighbour, for waking me up at 6.30 am, I was hoping for a sleep in this morning!! Not a good start to the day.
Anyway, got MIL arriving today so things are going to be a bit busy for the next few days methinks.
mazzers, low-carb is just gonna have to wait!! (Love the waggy finger smilie btw) I have waaay too much on my plate (no pun intended) atm. Maybe next week?? I have been doing a meal-plan so my head is almost in the right place!!
Thanks for the eyebag & posture tips, soton & SharleeGoing to get this week over & done with & then I have good intentions to start making the most of myself & I will get my hair cut & buy some new clothes (even if they are in a big size
) & start wearing make-up every day (even if it's just mascara) & I will keep smiling & feeling positive. I will!! And you can all kick me up my big wobbly backside if I don't!!

I'm in agony today, I fell off my bike last night and have bruised/broken my coccyx. I'm normally a stiff up lip sort off lass, but I was crying in pain. A+E gave me some pain killers and I managed to sleep OK on my front. Lucky I have my little lappy and can work at the kitchen bench, 'cos I can't sit.
I started LCing strictly yesterday and although I'm tempted to have toast for breakfast, it'g going to be sausages. There is nothing either good or bad but thinking makes it so.0 -
Sorry to be a party pooper, but I've just read this article on the BBC website.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/health/8202188.stm
I know it's aimed at school children (or rather their parents ) & school lunchboxes, but it's about processed meats, so relevant for adults/low-carbers too.
I've read stuff like this before & I personally do try to avoid processed meat as much as possible for me & my kids, too much salt & other unsavoury ingredients for my liking.0 -
Ouch, jordy, that sounds painful
Hope you recover soon.

Morning everyone else! ok im all prepared today!! im got my scales packed up and ready to hand over to my brother for safe keeping. I dont want to be relying on them so much im jumping on them like 10 times a day. feel so much better today than yesterday or saturday. Wasn't lcing yesterday because there was a big family event (that i was dreading cos im a huge blob) but got involved and i quite enjoyed it. Today feel so much more positive and ready to tackle my weight issue again.0 -
Oooh jordy, you poor thing, sounds really bad.
Good job you've got your lappy.0 -
Hello all :hello:
I'm not in a good place right now. Been lurking but not posting coz I'm being bad, but thought I would do a little update.
Struggling with the Icing -I can't eat much fat coz it makes me nauseous, and don't eat meat so end up hungry and eating non LC fruit. Sigh.
OH is trying to make me eat meat (grrr) and is doing Slimming World (Green) so it is a carb fest in the house.
Anyhoo, managed to get some kind of tummy bug (and did my neck in too!) so feeling quite grumpy. At least its keeping me away from the carbs. What I can't reach I can't eat, and can only have fluids at the mo anyway. Have I mentioned I have put on two pounds while sick and not eating? Its a crazy world.
Got a horrible meeting with my boss tomorrow about coming back to work, but I'm handing in my notice so expect the sparks to fly! (and on an empty stomach too!) With any luck he'll catch my stomach bug.
Rant over for another day....

Good luck for tomorrow Marrow.
Have you got a new job to go to?0 -
Hope you feel better marrow and good luck for your meeting. Let us know how it goes.
Morning everyoneam in a good mood today, im only 2.5lbs away from what i was before my bday binge and i would love to get that off this week so going to be an icing saint. Gave my brother my lovely scales
so cannot keep jumping on them this week. Cant wait to see how much i lose on sunday. Have to work extra hard if i want to get down to my original weight. I know alot of people are struggling right now but i have faith you will come back to this way of eating eventually, in the end we all know it works and when we are focused its so easy to follow.
good luck girlies x
