Happy birthday SS, enjoy every mouthful of it.
I ave a dodgy H, so sometimes I will sound dead common, on occasion dead stupid and rarely, pig ignorant. Sometimes I may be these things, but I will always blame it on my dodgy H.

Sorry, I'm a bit of a grumble weed today, no offence intended ... well it might be, but I'll be sorry.

Eggs again for breakfast but boiled this time to mix it up, ooh the excitement! Been looking on the OS board again and it has rekindled my love for it so have spent today washing up instead of using the dishwasher, cooking up a few leftover odds and ends and doing a freezer/cupboard inventory!

Also thought of a couple of LC things to share that I've discovered recently.
Soya beans - great as an alternative to nuts as a snack, found them in Tesco in the nut section, slightly salted and says chinese style but not figured out why yet!
25g serving (quite a lot) is 100 cals, 2g carbs and 12g protein, awesome!

Protein pudding - 1 tub quark, splosh of milk, 2 scoops unflavoured protein powder, 1 sachet sugar-free jelly.
Add milk to quark and squish together, slowly add in protein then jelly (whisk well or can end up a bit grainy).
Makes a lovely bright pink pudding that tastes a bit yoghurt-esque crossed with blacmange, maybe not selling it well but is yummy honest!
Total about 500cals, 21g carbs, 90g protein - makes about 4 good size servings.

Got high carb day tomorrow (not cheat) so will be having chocolate protein porridge with strawbs and raspberry sauce for brekkie, and got some chilli and rice to take to work. Might throw in a PB sarnie for good measure too. Tea likely to be HM chicken curry thanks to the sauce i found in the cupboard inventory!

Almond flour near bakery stuff, Splenda with sugar free sweeteners :D

Just ask someone while you're there.

Almond flour is usually called ground almonds in the UK. I got my soy flour at Holland and Barret. I found a low carb bar of chocolate in the free from range at Asda. I was 56p, I;ve had one chunk of it and it tastes like regular milk chocolate and would be OK for desperate times although I find my sweet tooth is much less than it was.

I made some little chocolate raspberry muffins with coconut flour and they've come out pretty well. but I used palm sugar as the sweetener, it is much lower on the GI at only 35 than other sugars, but it;s difficult to get a nutritional breakdown for it.

I'm on a plateau at the moment, and trying to be extra vigilant to break through but not moving anywhere.

On a positive though I asked my doc for print out of my blood test one in October before I started this and one in July. My total cholesterol has come down from 5.4 to 4.2, both my triglycerides and LDL are lower. It is nice to have the affirmation that I'm not making things worse with my very high fat diet.
There is nothing either good or bad but thinking makes it so.

Morning all, gonna be a lovely day, is already sunny icon7.gif

Yummy, i have been searching eveywhere for soya beans (canned ones though to put in my chilli) but the 'nutty' variety will be great as a snack icon14.gif

Had a good lc day yesterday after my wine binge, was hungry all the time, but made sure it was all lc.

My fave dessert is still defrosted frozen raspberries, sprinkled with splenda, with a little sf jelly and cream or lidl yogurt, delish.
