With all the sugar in those meringues 'dying for one' could be truer than you think.lol Just imagine how much better your blood sugars will be without those sweety things and then you will be glad that you passed them by.

I have to have another blood test tomorrow - on the one last month that showed my sugars to have dropped, they found something a bit strange about the liver so hope it has sorted itself out by now. Then the gp on Weds 'cos the pharmacy did a review and I told them I wasn't taking statins or fibrates anymore as my bloods were good - and they ratted on me to the gp! Still they can't force me to take them can they?

Was poorly in the week but stayed lc although I don't feel as if I've lost any weight but I am just concentrating on my blood sugars and that I am in control of my health with this woe.

Well done all who had good losses and good luck to those starting induction. Take good care of yourselves.

    Hello my lovely low carbers!

    I'm a veteran, apparently :)

A great big well done on the losses to sunny, jen, focus and gravity's bloke! :j and anyone else I may have missed :j

G&B - love and luck to you, we're all thinking about you and sending all the best. :)

    mazzers - I miss alias too :(
Well done on the induction, weight loss and being good at the buffet!

focus - remember. Eat or die! You must eat to get this thing working. It's best not to feel hungry. Eat slowly and know when you are full (then stop) and you won't go far wrong :D

As to moaning :D We all do it and I for one love the fact I can do it here! We all need a moan now and then, if getting it off your chest here stops you eating the wrong things and helps, then do it! :rotfl: I do.

  • I have lost 5 lbs in my first week of induction! wooop :D
I haven't noticed it physically so hardly believed the scales!!

Its a real boost to keep you going.... HOWEVER.... I'm back at my folks and mum cooked curry - all fine- I just told her not to cook me any rice. In her mothering she decided to make me Dahl made with lentils "because lentils have protein don't they dear?"

So I had lots of chicken and a tablespoon or 2 of this dahl. I picked out the potato chunks cos I couldn't bring myself to eat them for fear of bloat... I feel ok, no different to normal so hopefully hasn't been tooo detrimental to my progress.

I'm not going to weigh in till next week and will not be letting mum cook me things she thinks are high protein but actually contain carbs.... I'll have to train her a bit but its ok.

On a plus side she grows fruit and veg and i ate a whole cucumber from her greenhouse all on its own... it was yummmmmmy :D

well done to everyone who has lost, is losing or is just plodding along, and Mercy, yippee on your date! how exciting :) I'm sure i'll be back soon, I'm rather enjoying this board and the little community spirit it has, gives me a fuzzy feeling.

    Night all xx

    Morning everyone

I`m getting a bit obsessive about the scales every morning  one pound on this morning but thats only to be expected so i`m not worried about it.

I sort of feel as if my shape is changing, i`m not one for tape measures so i`m not entirely sure but i have a pair of jeans that fit me better than ever as they were always very tight before but now they feel great.

Towards the end of the week when i get the chance i shall go out in search of coconut oil after doing a bit more reading, thanks guys - without this thread i wouldn`t be doing any of this.:A

I`m feeling a bit peckish so i shall go in search of a snack in a mo, i left the house in a rush this morning so i hope that i`ve brought everything that i need. Todays plan is :-

BF bacon sausage and scrambled egg

    D 2 chicken drumsticks

    T Cod & buttered cabbage

snacks are belly pork and salami & cheese

Mercy - good luck with your fella x

    Have a good day peeps.

Jen well done on the weight loss thats great!! :)

Im always obsessed with the scales but i try not to let the results affect my day. Well not in a negative way but positive.

Just wondered does anyone find eating duck makes them gain or stall? I swear any meat is acceptable but ive had duck twice now on this plan and the first time i put on weight and this time ive stayed the same when normally i lose just alittle. Anyone know for sure? :)
